View Full Version : Mark Levin calls Ron Paul "Ru Paul" on Fox News

Neil Cavuto has Mark Levin on right now talking about the Constitutionality of the Libyan airstrikes.

Of course, Mark is saying there's nothing wrong with bombing the hell out of Libya without Congress approving it.

He said "you have people like Kucinich and Ru Paul going around and saying what they think"...Then Cavuto interrupted him and said "Mark, it's Ron Paul". Levin then basically was just like "whatever, you know what I meant".

The best part was right after essentially shitting on the Constitution and saying there's nothing unconstitutional about Libya, he went ahead and said he wants a "true constitutional conservative" for the Republican nominee in 2012.

What the hell is that?

Someone who goes up The Hill and lies his ass off to Congress before committing us to kick some ass.

I fully expect him to favor a Jeb/Cheney ticket this round.

good for Neal. Mind you, Ron is much better for his ratings than Levin.

Levin pretty much demonstrates his level of debate capability with that.

It is fine if people disagree with Ron, that is their prerogative. But when they disrespect him, my hackles go up.

If ever a man deserved respect for all he has tried to do for the country in the face of ridicule, it is Ron.

I think Rand is terrific, but he didn't have to grind it out day after day for 30 years without a cheering crowd. That takes uncommon character.

I agree. In fact, I like a lot of the staff/commentators of Fox Business (Neil crosses Fox Business and Fox News). David Asman has Ron Paul on a lot, obviously Judge Napolitano, Liz Claman, Jonathan Hoenig, etc.

Sometimes we door a poor job of separating the wheat from the chaff, and summarily condemn entire organizations as being Fed Schills or NWO-whatevers. While every media outlet has people who we agree hold opinions that suck or are frankly anti-American in the traditional originalist sense, there are good folks too. I think it hurts our cause when people metaphorically sh*t on all of them. Send a nice feedback email once in a while when one of them has Ron Paul on for a good discussion. Send a constructive feedback email when you disagree with them, but no need to be an asshole. Certainly some of them deserve a brow-beating at times, but they're, in my view, anti-productive and a waste of your time. Even CNBC has a few good people. Rick Santelli and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera are very free-markets oriented and Ron Paul fans, even Kudlow is and really conducts awesome interviews with Ron Paul.

Food for thought.

Thomas Woods: Mark Levin Doesn’t Read LRC (http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/83414.html)

Or he wouldn’t keep launching the same ill-informed attacks on Ron Paul. This time it’s war powers, a subject I covered (http://www.lewrockwell.com/woods/woods167.html) yesterday. I’ve replied to Levin (http://www.tomwoods.com/blog/mark-levin-wrong-on-war-powers/).

The November election is over and the Neocons are now emboldened. It is not just on Foxnews, Levin is back to trashing Ron on his radio show just like in the old days. His cozying up to liberty and tea party folks was strategic from the big government Neocon establishment to reign the sheep in for the November election. The man is a complete and utter fraud as a Conservative.

Unfortunately, the sheep are too busy living thier lives and turn to talk radio hosts like Levin to get their news. The war hawk talk fits them like a glove since they have been indocrinated with this war hawk propaganda like testosterone for most of their lives. The Neocons have trained the masses well that when anyone does not hold the same view they are part of the Socialist left.

Levin is kind of entertaining to me but he does turn me off when he besmirches Ron like that or spends time trying to indoctrinate conservatives into believing that we don't need a Dec of war for things like Libya. He's spent multiple shows this week twisting the war powers act to fit his agenda. One of the main reasons I think he does this is to cover for Reagan when he did something similar back in the day. On one hand, Levin will talk about the neo cons having bad foreign policies then in the next speak just like them. All that said, the next time Rand is on his show (if ever) he should ask him why he ritually disrespects his dad.

I used to listen to him every once in a while before and during the 2008 elections. I used to listen to Rush too and I never ever heard either one of them use the term "statist" (or "liberty" for that matter) until after Obama got elected. Now they use it constantly.

The only place I saw the term used with any frequency was on this forum.

I think you are referring to my post in that thread. Well, in any case, I didn't say that "Levin was coming around to the Liberty position, I just said "that Ron and Rand are trying to bring conservatives to a more principled position, and we shouldn't shut anybody out."

By the way, you posted this in that thread:

Why do you think Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Bill Kristol, Mike Huckabee, et.al, are being so friendly with Rand? Do you really think it's because they have suddenly seen the light and realized their mistakes? I think it's because they do not see Rand as a threat to the military-industrial complex or to AIPAC. And I believe that it is Rand that has moved more towards their positions and not vice-versa.

I don't agree with that^^^.

I would say that Mike Church knows his history better than Boortz, and is also more solid on the anti-federalist front.
