I'm not sure how i feel about this. I'm not really a big fan of either glenn beck or alex jones. I'm with them both about 50% of the time and the other 50 i think they've lost their mind. I did find this pretty funny though, props to glenn.

I have seen the hernia on Glenn Beck's soul.

His show is funny, sometimes it's too much blabbering and joking around for me. I don't listen very often though.

This is pretty much the case for me. Are they genuine or is this all just part of a grand parade of side shows? Hell if I can say one way or another.

I do, however, wonder about this ad hominem habit that appears to be growing in frequency and intensity. What does it accomplish that is substantive and of value? I see nothing, which may only mean I am blind to the benefit. Glenn Beck's radio show seems like more waste of one's listening time than anything else, what with all his goofing around. If we are to assume his "mission" is what he claims, then would he not be serving that purpose more effectively if he remained on point and dispensed with his foolishly unproductive ravings about other talk show hosts? The same applies to all of them, of course.

And what about all the ad hominens against the likes of Obama, Pelosi, and so forth? Why, pray tell, is it not sufficient for them to simply point out the objectionable behaviors in terms of factual occurrences and leave the personal attacks on the floor? I despise Obama and his ilk. I know enough of who and what he is. Continually stating he is a klown scumbag is not helping me in the least. A well structured, complete, accurate, and honest expression of what he has DONE will tell me what I need to know. Even editorially influenced comments regarding the likely results and/or meaning of such actions may be helpful. But telling me for the 40-millionth time that he is a deluded Marxist douchebag adds nothing to the conversation, save the possibility of getting people all worked up - perhaps that is more the point than honestly and intelligently informing? It sure seems that way most of the time.

Beck, Boortz, Hannity, and the rest of that cadre waste somany opportunities to educate their listeners in the lessons of liberty that I cannot help but conclude that either they are all unqualified for, and insufficient to, their own stated goals or they are nothing more than cogs in the self-same machine as that at which they spend their days railing like banshees. I would also point out that each of these pillars of rebellious and defiant liberty constantly make reference to the "mainstream media" as if they were somehow apart from that tainted caste. Who are they kidding? Everyone, I suppose.

I must therefore recommend great caution when viewing or listening to any of these people. As far as I can determine, they mix strong truth with utter nonsense, thereby strengthening the nonsense and weakening the truth. The resulting product is a firmly misleading and dis-empowering mush that may look and taste pretty good, but makes one sick and weak. Onus falls upon us to become very careful listeners and to develop strong habits such that we enable ourselves to separate the wheat from the chaff. Even so, the question then arises: if the presentations are intentional constructions, then why are we listening at all? What benefit shall we derive from tidbits of truth that are intermixed with foolishness, resulting in a torrent of fluid deceit? Is there any reason, beyond mere entertainment or the midbrain desire to reinforce existing anger? That all smacks of pissing upwind, and that is why I do not listen often anymore - once in a while when I an heading to town and never at home or anywhere else. My pleasure in hearing good truth is always neutralized when in the next sentences they most often spew some wholesale insanity, either explicitly or otherwise. Generally speaking, I derive very little value from this, save for becoming aware of events in the world. I suppose I may confine my satisfaction to that narrow channel.

Be careful kiddies - there's a lot of intellectual danger out there. Learn to spot the bullshit - it is often easy, but not always so. As careful as I am, even I am fooled now and again, even if for but a brief moment. The jackals are cunning and they never sleep. They want you where they want you, the way they want you, and are tirelessly adept at having their way.

You have been warned.

Yup, same. I agree with Beck a bit over half the time.
Alex Jones, while I probably agree with him on a lot of things, I don't really trust him, he's far too conspiratorial and stretches the truth on things.

That said, I also found this clip hilarious :D

It amazes me that people who don't even like AJ have the time to listen to him just so they can make videos merely making fun of his mannerisms.

Beck is nearly as crazy as Sheen. He uses that radio show to relentlessly make fun of his competition so people don't stand up to Beck except maybe Stewart\Colbert and the liberals that dislike him.

I actually dislike both of them. Maybe they are nice people, but Beck has gone off the dead-end and Jones is already nuts. Remember Debra Medina guys? Anybody questioning 9/11 is grouped in with fascists to Beck. Plus all this nonsense he says lately. Worthless garbage. Personally, the continuous growth of religious gospel during his shows are sickening me.

I really enjoyed when Beck used to make his Fox show fun. That is what made it good in the first place. The humor, the food, the over-the-top examples. It wasn't some generic mundane news junk. Now he stands in front of chalkboards on his soapbox, preaching about faith, God, morality, and select socialists/communists from the past.
