View Full Version : Ron Paul on cover of The American Conservative magazine

Heard about this and ran out to get the issue. Two excellent pieces : One by Michael Brendan Dougherty that is a very good and sympathetic overview of Dr. Paul. (I did find one assertion questionable - that RP's "academic style doesn't motivate people to rally to him". Oh really!). Another by Kara Hopkins that covers the Ron/Rudy clash at the SC debate and the mainstream GOP reaction to it, titled the "Stupid Party".

sweet! wonder if this is available online . . .

Im assuming its the most recent issue: currently on their website, the June 4th issue is up.

I wouldn't think so, they typically wait a few weeks to put most of their articles online. I highly recommend getting a copy now. Both excellent pieces.

Once they update their website you can buy and download the pdf version of the issue.

Can you get these in any book store?

I know this sounds kinda dumb and does incovience employees but on top of buying the issue it would also be a good idea to makes sure you randomly place issues in prime spots to be seen by people who would not normally see it.

How big is the circulation?

I'm not sure what the circulation is now. It is Pat Buchanan's magazine - he started it about 4-5 years ago I believe. Often has some very good articles with some big time writers, eg Paul Gottfried, Christopher Hitchens, Michael Scheuer had an article in one of the recent issues. I typically disagree with Buchanan's protectionist economic ideas but otherwise find it very good.
