I call this a straw man. We lead NATO, too. We should not be in it, at all.

And there never was justification for doing this. 'Ask forgiveness, not permission' should NOT be allowed to apply to war.

Some allies are making some of the right noises about us being expected all along to turn it over, but I don't think NATO taking it IS turning it over, and it looks like we aren't really turning it over, and I think we need to get to the bottom of having gone in without Congressional action to begin with.

Last I heard they didn't have the AWACS capability to do completely without us.

And our president doesn't have the authority to do it at all, so where does that leave them?
