Impressive! I wish I had his math skills. I ended up with a 31 last year (36/24/36/29).

Where's he going/planning on going?

BYU almost for sure. This is also his junior year in H.S. so he may take it again next year - he isn't sure if they take the better of the two scores or the most recent.

If I remember correctly, schools will take the better score. Also congrats to your son!

The rule is you are allowed to take it up to three times without penalty and select the highest score to send to schools. I recommend he take it two more times just to see if a higher score is achievable. With those scores, he should be able to get into virtually any school. At the risk of stating the obvious...make sure you keep all of the codes and numbers on them so they can be sent to schools, just be warned, ACT customer service is pretty hit and miss.

Different schools take different things as far as scores go.

That's great. A friends's daughter had high scores, which was enough for a full ride to some schools here in fly-over country. Can't beat that. Whatever happended to the SAT though; guess I'm showing my age?

SAT is more common on the coasts, ACT is more used in the mid-west and heartland.
