Fortunately the people who write for/comment on Huffington Post do not represent mainstream American values. Forget the far-left, the next President will be chosen by independents -- a demographic that Rand is quite capable of winning over should he decide to run.

Didn't roughly 1 out of every 5 black residents in Kentucky vote for him? That has to be extremely worrisome to the Huffpost readers.

huffpost readers are well informed:

President Obama ran because he wants whats best for his country...*.
All the current republican*s want what is best for them and their corporate overlords.*.... Huge difference*.

If he can overturn the light bulb ban and the no toilet over 1.6 gal ban, the entire country will love him. :D

That stuff cuts across party lines!

I keep thinking a Paul/Paul ticket would be awesome! but keeping one of them in Congress to introduce legislation for the other might be more effective.

HuffPo - where moonbats accuse each other of not being far left enough.

I can sum them up: Dem = good. Everything else = evil.

I really do not think it is a good idea for Rand to leave the Senate early and run for president. That could be a big let down for his constituents, for one.

I would be very surprised if Rand ran for President right now, but not disappointed.

I have been expecting it since before he won his senate race. He has been campaigning for POTUS since day one.

He would not have to leave the senate.

He would not have to leave the senate.

Campaigning (especially for president) is pretty much a full-time gig. He might not 'officially' leave the Senate, but I'm thinking he won't be able to make many votes while he's trekking across the U.S.A.

Those will be just like no votes. No point in staying in the senate anyway. We could elect a senator to stay home for the entire 6 years and do a better job than most of them.
