I seem to vaguely recall during basic that it was mentioned that after you're out of the military you can request that your DNA & some records be destroyed...

I can't seem to find any information about this online, anyone tried to initiate this process?

God knows how many databases we're all in now... & Of course I have my doubts about how effective this "request" would even be...

Whatever they've got they are keeping - and will use the excuse it is for the VA when you turn 65 and any illness is presumed to be service connected, thus you don't get Medicare.

Just called a veterans lawyer that pointed me to this,

Not sure if there are other records in other databases that can be supposedly destroyed upon official request...
