Hey everyone,

I've been visiting the site for quite a while but have just registered recently.

In response to what I have seen as a surge in desire for positivity on Ron Paul supporter forums, I've taken some time to create WWRPD.org (http://www.wwrpd.org).

I hope that it serves some small purpose in the grand scheme of things. Let me know what you think and give any suggestions that you might have!

Thanks!,
Brian

I like it! Anything to help spread the word. You may find some ppl who think it's comparing Dr. Paul to christ... but hey it works for me..

Thanks for doing this, man. Good stuff!

One small critique: the text that overlapped the picture of Ron was a little hard for me to read. Perhaps a different alignment, font, etc., could increase the contrast between the two.

Wow, great first post! (and website!). Welcome - we need more uniting around here.

Thanks, guys!

Margo- I share the same concern. I went live with the text aligned this way though because I think it has a warmer feel to it and I was trying to avoid the cold symmetrical look. I'll definitely keep an eye out for what others think of it.

I should have asked this in the original post... can folks let me know if the site is showing up properly in different browsers, etc?

No offense, I hate to tell you but wrpd is a gamer term for warped as in someone is twisted or not right in the head. It could easily be confused.

looks good on my browser. I would personally do different font on the WWRPD heading. not a big deal tho

This should be the first thought in our minds whenever we do things for the grassroots effort.

I love the idea and think this would be a great site to link people to whenever they post negativity or start flaming each other :) might even become a slogan like "Come on guys, really WWRPD?"

[edit: I think the layout could be a little better. I'm not too bad at that stuff so if you'd like I could knock up an index page with the same content but just a slightly better layout that will work better on lower resolution browsers and flow slightly better, perhaps]

Thanks for the great feedback everyone. Obviously I'm biased, but I think this has strong potential to increase positivity among all of us. Let's keep spreading it!

roxic- I'm sorry but I don't think the banner posted properly. I will be happy to host the file if you want to send it to me.

If anyone else wants to create a banner, etc., just post it here or email it to me and I'll host it and make it available to everyone.

DJ - Your suggestions would be most welcome. I just threw this together pretty quickly and there is certainly a lot of room for improvement. Toss me a link or send me a file at WhatWouldRonPaulDo@gmail.com.

Okay I remade the page Brian, take a look here and tell me what you think, I've tried to keep the feel of the page the same as yours but make it a bit tidier and it'll fit on lower resolutions better now.

I've also removed the joint you'll be pleased to hear Josh :) I wasn't sure what it was either.

If you like it I'll email you the files and you can upload them to your root folder Brian.

I thought that at first, but then I saw what looked like smoke...

I think that looks terrific DJ!

My only comment is that perhaps the bullet points in the middle should not be centered. This could just be an idiosyncrasy of mine, I don't tend to like centered lists.

Let's wait just a bit and see if anyone else has suggestions. After that, I will definitely be putting your work to good use.

Cool man, and it's your site so if you choose to use the page you can just scrap the bullet points before you upload in your web editing program. I'm not too sure about them myself either.

New and improved :)

The site has been updated: http://www.wwrpd.org

I'm working on getting some banners/buttons made, like the great one roxic made that I put up here (http://www.ronpaulwall.com) for the time being.

Is there a way to do an "email to a friend" doohickey on there (sorry,I'm very non technical) lol
It'd be a great way to pass this on to friends and family, very simple and to the point.:)

Great idea, thanks. I'll work on that tonight when I get home from work. (Another great way to do this is to install the StumbleUpon add-on to Firefox and then use the Tell A Friend feature. Giving the site a thumbs up will also add significantly to exposure.)

Also wanted to share that some time today WhatWouldRonPaulDo.org will start redirecting to wwrpd.org. This should help with Google searches and also make it easier to tell friends about it.
