I call B.S.

If it was all about killing Qaddafi, they would bomb him or snipe him or assassinate him. Kristol and most of the D.C. set are more interested in making sure that Libya stays a nice little quite subservient state with a subservient population. If they just killed Qaddafi, they'd lose control of the power structure of Libya's govt and give the residents of Libya a reason to want to disobey the U.S./U.N./"the West".
