The head of the Arab League has criticized international strikes on Libya, saying they caused civilian deaths.

The Arab League's support for a no-fly zone last week helped overcome reluctance in the West for action in Libya. The U.N. authorized not only a no-fly zone but also "all necessary measures" to protect civilians.

Amr Moussa says the military operations have gone beyond what the Arab League backed.

Moussa has told reporters Sunday that "what happened differs from the no-fly zone objectives." He says "what we want is civilians' protection not shelling more civilians."

Do you blame them. They went from creating a no fly zone to bombing military vehicles and infrastructure like bridges. They are going to lay waste to that country by the time they are done with it and anyone with a conscience should be against it

What did he think was going to happen?

Apparently thinks you can invade a country and not have to suffer any consequences for it.

Tell me about it. Normal people would assume that implementing a no fly zone would only involve shooting down flying vehicles and anti air plane infrastructure and not bridges, tanks and govt buildings. But then again the people who run our military are certainly a crazy bunch.

I am from the govt and am here to help - famous last words

What did he think was going to happen?

Exactly. He's just trying to save face. You can't enforce a no-fly zone without actually attacking the country.
