DemocracyNow.org -
Ralph Nader and Daniel Ellsberg plan to participate in a major protest on Saturday in Washington, D.C., to mark the eight-year anniversary of the U.S-led invasion of Iraq. They were interviewed on Democracy Now! March 18.

Ellsberg will risk arrest by participating in nonviolent civil disobedience actions by Veterans for Peace, among others, to protest the ongoing military occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. "Innocents are being slaughtered," Nader says. "Why don't we say what's on the minds of many legal experts? That the Obama administration is committing war crimes. And if Bush should have been impeached, Obama should be impeached."

Stand up guy, voted for him twice and even met him. He's a socialist, yet he makes the goofs in Washington look like big spenders.

Ralph Nader and A.N.S.W.E.R. are Socialists.

Why are you promoting them?

ANSWER (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.N.S.W.E.R.) characterizes itself as anti-imperialist, and its steering committee consists of socialists, civil rights advocates, and left-wing or progressive organizations from the Muslim, Arab, Palestinian, Filipino, Haitian, and Latin American communities. Many of ANSWER's lead organizers had ties to the International Action Center, and Workers World Party at the time of ANSWER's founding.

I didn't vote for Nader.

I'm fine with ANSWER protesting as they are probably the only ones doing so.

Sorry I got you confused with TC. However, it's silly to reject others on issues we both agree on.

I voted for Ralph in 2008 and I'm still happy with my decision. Even though he is a socialist, he has been an outspoken activist against war in general since day 1.

Would never vote for a socialistic idiot like Ralph Nader.

Another false choice.

I think the larger point to take away from this video is that Nader is calling for Obama's impeachment.

I dont agree with Nader on most of his views, but i give him credit for his consistent stance here. How many of the so called Progressives who called for Bush to be impeached would stand up and call for Obama's impeachment ? I dont think many.

Oddly I feel that there is enough overlap between Paul and Nader regarding foreign policy that I voted for Nader. Also my vote was my way of protesting TARP. Nader would never do bailouts.

Yes I concede he would be heavy handed with government in someways but hopefully at least follow the rule of law.

Also amazingly I'm not sure if I've ever seen Nader look more furious then when talking about Obama following the same disastrous path as Bush.

I've never voted for a Democrat and definitely not a Green party person. I don't trust them in the least to rule us.
