I liked unless you think of the scythe as the grim reaper's weapon..... and even then, if it is turned against government spending.... I guess I can live with it.

I do believe the guy who wrote the blog is hysterical thinking $6 billion of cuts in military waste and cutting foreign aid will jeapardize America as a super power, though. I think he isn't listening, nor thinking.

I think it's meant to elicit negative opinions of Republicans.....that was my initial reaction. It's funny, though, because mainstream Republicans aren't even trying to cut that much. More realistically, the Democrat would have a razor blade, the Republican would have a scalpel, and the libertarian would be in the back corner of the room with a chainsaw or something large....

More like, the Democrat wants to eliminate the pea-sized tumor here, the neocon wants to cut out the pea-sized tumor over there, and the libertarian is looking at the watermelon-sized tumor called Spending on Three Simultaneous Wars.
