I think we should be in the planning stages for the Boston Tea Party money bomb for December. The sooner the word gets out on it the better.

While I'm not sure if the 5th of November is going to get 100,000 people to commit, it is showing to be a huge success. We can learn from this experience, and what I got from it is to project this idea well in advance so it can reach as many people as possible.

What are your opinions??

That doesn't sound like a half bad idea. :D

I think we should just stick with $100 as the suggested amount, and let whomever decide on what they want to donate. :)

Dec 16 will be a Sunday. Kind of a slow day isn't it? Where are people on Sundays? Only certain regions have a lot of people in church on that day.

teaparty07.com has been registered, who can I forward it to?

I like this idea since it was when I was researching about taxes that I found Ron Paul

It's a great idea. $100 pledge.. I'm sure people will donate more than that if they can. Starting it early gives LOTS of time to get subscribers. It could be bigger than the 5th.

Good idea!

"Restore the Ideals of the American Revolution: Join Our Second Tea Party!"

I just learned this...this is cool as hell: "The Boston Tea Party is known around the world and has been inspirational to other noted activists and reform leaders. For example, Erik H. Erikson records in his book "Gandhi's Truths" that when Mahatma Gandhi met with the British viceroy in 1930 after the Indian salt protest campaign, Gandhi took some duty-free salt from his shawl and said, with a smile, that the salt was "to remind us of the famous Boston Tea Party.""

A few months ago on this forum, we came up with the idea of mailing teabags to each member of congress. On Dec 16th I think we should each donate to RP and then mail a copy of Ron's thank you note to our congressmen and senators along with a teabag.

There's a small problem with the teabag connotation.

I like the idea, though.

Definitely should do a money bomb of some sort but it should be different from the $100 Nov 5th thing.

It seems like things tend to take off pretty well when the idea is unique.

I don't know how this could tie into Christmas...but if it could somehow then that'd be cool. Or have a seperate Christmas gift day.

December 26th, 1776 George Washington crossed the Delaware River and surprised Hessian brigade and defeated it.
