Ending the War on Drugs is "pro-family" -- Selling Legalization to Social Conservatives

Social conservatives want children brought up by a mother and a father. More of that could be possible if fewer black males were sent to prison for buying, selling, or possessing drugs.

Don't volunteer the "black" modifier in conversation, especially on the internet. Simply say "parents". If necessary, say "inner city parents".

To us, the difference is negligible, but to outsiders, the first approach is borderline racist. Stupid, I know, but we should avoid stepping in it whenever possible.
