Sarkozy is accused of accepting Libyan funds

The Libyan leader said last week that Mr Sarkozy was "mad" and that he would soon reveal a "grave" secret about him. His son added that his father felt "betrayed" by Sarkozy, who had given him full state honours during a visit to Paris in 2008.

The Elysée Palace yesterday dismissed a claim by Muammar Gaddafi's son that Libya helped to finance President Nicolas Sarkozy's election campaign in 2007.

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi told Lyon-based EuroNews television: "Sarkozy must give back the money that he received from Libya for his election campaign. We financed that campaign and we have the proof. We are ready to reveal everything.

Maybe he'll let loose the "secret" that Sarkozy is one of the sayanim?

Fun fact: according to halakha (jewish law), Gaddafi is jewish! (his maternal grandmother was jewish, and thus, he is a jew)

LOL! They are hard at work!

"Sayanim" means "volunteers" in hebrew... as in, volunteers for Mossad...

Secret Societies, whether real or overblown, are the kind of thing that could make people paranoid.

France and Libya have signed agreements on issues including security, health care and immigration during talks between the two countries' leaders.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy met Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in Tripoli a day after the release of six Bulgarian medics.

The six were convicted of deliberately infecting Libyan children with HIV.

The two leaders also agreed to work on a nuclear energy project that will turn sea water into clean drinking water.

Their meeting is being seen as a sign of the normalisation of ties between Libya and the EU following the medics' release.

The EU and the United States had made it clear to Mr Gaddafi that resolving the medics' situation was key to improving relations.
