His air force is already bombing the outskirts of the city, but not for much longer. The Security Council’s expected to vote at 6 p.m. ET and the French are telling people that airstrikes against Libyan air defenses — and maybe more — could begin immediately thereafter. At the same time, Qaddafi just delivered another insane stemwinder against the rebels on Libyan radio warning people in Benghazi that the army will be rolling into town tonight and that, if they don’t surrender, they’ll receive “no mercy.” Which means, unless someone blinks in the next few hours, that city will be a bona fide international war zone by the time America goes to bed tonight.

RP & Kucinich need to introduce articles of impeachment if Soetoro goes through with this. By the way, here may be the real reason that they want to oust Qaddafi..

It never occurred to me that the WikiLeaks document revelations could be part of CIA's color revolution plots. Seems a little stretchy but definitely in their ballpark.

I put the article up on the forums yesterday and it got ZERO views. I bumped it once and it still got ZERO views. The article opened my eyes. I felt really uneducated about international affairs after reading it.

Yeah, I've bookmarked it, read about a tenth of it so far. Very eye-opening and very scary.

Makes me wonder if RP is hip to all of this and why doesn't he call them out on it? I get the feeling that Tarpley could rant about this on a presidential debate stage and come off looking highly credible.

"UN" = Washington D.C. & London = Federal Reserve Bank & Bank of England. This is not about Quaddafi being inhuman to his citizens. It's about his defection to Iran/Russia. See Tarpley's article above. Our government has been seriously hijacked.

On April 14, 1986 at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time, twenty four F-111Fs of the USAF 48th Tactical Fighter Wing took off from the Royal Air Force base at Lakenheath, England. Twenty eight refueling tankers took to the air from bases at Mildenhall and Fairford, while five EF-111 Ravens equipped with high-tech jamming equipment soared skyward from a fourth base. Operation El Dorado Canyon was underway. The target: Libya. The American aircraft roaring through the English skies that evening were embarked on what would become the longest fighter combat mission in the history of military aviation, and the first major USAF combat mission in more than a decade.

The Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, had been an enthusiastic sponsor of terrorist acts against the West for years. The son of a Bedouin shepherd, he became an officer in the Libyan army and in 1968 led a successful coup to overthrow King Idris. A self-proclaimed mystic and prophet of Islam, Gaddafi's grandiose vision was the creation of a Great Arab Nation encompassing all of North Africa, powerful enough to destroy Israel and punish the United States for its many sins against the Arab world. Purchasing over $12 billion worth of Soviet military hardware, Gaddafi in turn supported terrorists of all stripes -- the Irish Republican Army, Basque ETA separatists, Colombian M19 guerrillas -- maintaining as many as twenty terrorist training camps in Libya. He had given sanctuary to the Black September murderers of eleven Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics and to the Palestinian terrorist mastermind, Abi Nidal. It was Nidal who orchestrated Libyan-sponsored terrorist bloodbaths at the Rome and Vienna airports in December 1985 that left twenty people, four of them Americans, dead.

The U.S. and Libya had clashed before -- in 1981, when Gaddafi launched an air strike against provocative American naval maneuvers in the Gulf of Sidra, international waters that Gaddafi claimed for Libya. Two Soviet-built SU-22 fighters were shot down. That same year, U.S. intelligence learned that Libyan hit squads would be dispatched to assassinate Reagan and other government officials. Though some anti-terrorist experts suggested that a covert operation to kill Gaddafi was doable, this was not an alternative available to Reagan. He had promised to adhere to Executive Order No. 12333, issued in 1976 by President Gerald Ford, which banned the government from engaging in the assassination of world leaders.

Libya did not attack the USA or any other country, so how is the no fly zone legal?

If the UN is in favor of interference with Qaddafi, one must take pause to wonder what might be the real agenda item that this shall satisfy.

Am I the only one to find it most curious that there appears to be a mass destabilization occurring in the middle east? Now talk of Indonesia? What might be the result of such massive worldwide chaos, if we assume these events are somehow linked and are not the result of the organic drive of people to be free gone synchronous? If this is artificial, why is it being instigated? Who is capable of such muck raking and who stands to profit from it?

Curiouser and curiouser becomes the world.

I'm still reading this article, but was struck by this:


Libya’s Col. Qaddafi, once the destabilization of Libya had begun, was the most explicit, announcing that he would play several cards, ousting the west, and turning instead to China, Russia, India, and Brazil.

Today, Obama spoke side-by-side with the Brazilian Prime Minister to talk about Libya. Very interesting.
