Two Michigan Democrats were charged Wednesday with nine felonies for allegedly forging paperwork in their attempts to get fake Tea Party candidates on last November’s electoral ballot...

Two former leaders of the Oakland County Democratic Party are facing a total of nine felonies for allegedly forging election paperwork to get fake Tea Party candidates on November’s ballot. “It is not a partisan statement, and we need to make that very clear,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper.

Former Oakland County Democratic Chair Mike McGuinness and former Democratic Operations Director Jason Bauer face up to 14 years in prison if convicted. “Some of the people didn’t even know they were on the ballot till they began receiving delinquency notices of filings that were required as a candidate,” said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

These guys must have been trying to split the vote between Republicans, so Democrats win. Clever.
The Democrats should have been supporting the Libertarian Party for many years now, since Libertarians "steal" votes from Republicans. Democrats probably recognize libertarian ideas of freedom are even more dangerous than the Republicans "conservative" ideas of maintaining the status quo of big government, so Democrats steer clear of Libertarians entirely.

In Ohio, that's exactly what they did. They set up a fake tea party group and sent out mailers for the LP candidates. Everyone knew something was up when they got mailers from the LP b/c they knew the LP couldn't afford mailers hah.

Here are some links about it (before it was confirmed),

So is governor John Kasich having the A.G. investigate? The Tea Party has been Co-Opted by so many organizations (Freedom Works, Tea Party Express, ResistNet/Patriot Action Network, etc) all NEOCON backers and their money. But in Nevada, the US Senate seat that Sharron Angle lost narrowly to Harry Reid, there was a fake T.P. candidate running on the ballot last November, Scott Ashjian. He stripped off enough votes that could of possibly gone to Sharron and victory.

I don't believe so. As far as I know, everything they did was technically legal. They went through the right steps to form a group. They purposefully formed the group on 10/15, which was the day after the financial reporting deadline. That way they wouldn't have to reveal their donors until after the election, and it wasn't funded from the dem party, just dem donors. So it was legal, but still dirty.

They just learned from the Republicans who made fake tea party candidates and got a ton of them elected.

The democrats tried to give publicity to libertarians during the 2008 republican nomination campaign and after the elections, only to find out that young people started to understand libertarianism and like it. Thats when they stop it.

Libertarianism takes votes both from republicans and from democrats.
