We love the free market. How about states compete for labor and business? Right now almost everyone knows people are streaming out of broke and broken California for other more "reasonable" states. A major destination over the last decades has been Texas who has gained seats in the house, while blue states like NY lose seats. Would it be a convincing argument to introduce a economic/business bill in NC to say, "we recognize this phenomenon and this bill makes NC competitive to attract labor and business to our state." Also, "using the 10th amendment we reject/repeal federal regulations harming NC businesses in their attempt to get through this trying time."
NC needs tax revenue just like every other state. Would this pro-business less-regulation type bill to increase population and jobs pass? We know many business register their corporations in NJ for some reason. (old rumor) Why not make stating a business in NC easier and encourage corporations to relocate to NC?
