Lady Gaga, Linkin Park And Other Celebs Help Japan, Call On Fans For Support

With the crisis in Japan still unfolding, celebrities the world over have encouraged their fans to take action and help them collect relief funds.
The NY Daily News reports that Lady Gaga designed a bracelet with the words "We Pray For Japan" printed in both English and Japanese. Priced at $5 each, all proceeds will be donated to relief funds.
CNN reports that Gaga also asked fans to support the Citizen Effect relief campaign by Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda has also designed merchandise to be sold for relief funds. Music For Relief, a network of artists and music fans devoted to relief efforts, partnered with Shinoda to produce T-shirts to be sold for the cause. Shinoda is currently collecting votes on his website, asking fans to select which version of his design should be printed.
Charlie Sheen has announced that some of the revenue from his upcoming live shows will be donated to help Japan. His website says that $1 of every ticket sold for "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option Show" will be donated to the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund.
Katy Perry appealed to her fans via Twitter, saying:
"Imagine... if we ALL texted REDCROSS to 90999 we'd have raised over 60million dollars for #JAPAN REFLIEF! BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE! BE!"
Many other celebs also have turned to Twitter to garner relief funds. Billboard Magazine collected a roundup of celebrities' Twitter updates about Japan, with many encouraging the use of texting to donate.
