I got this idea after reading another thread about using Facebook to promote the message of liberty.

I've been doing this for a long time, posting comments, quotes, etc., on FB but I hardly ever got any comments. Then I remembered the old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words," and I started uploading political pics. Things like this:

or this:

I've gotten to where I have over 100 interesting pictures on my hard drive (I found several in The Best Picture Thread EVAR thread), and I keep finding more all the time. I post one every day or two and it's gotten a lot more attention and interest. People don't like to read, I guess.

Anyway, my idea is to put all these pics together on a photoblog with download links and direct links and encourage people to share them on facebook and forums. In some cases I'll have to be careful about copyright issues, but you can find dozens of copies of most of these pics on google images.

Anyone think this is a good idea? I also need some domain name ideas. Something along the lines of freedompictures.com or libertypics.com? I dunno. Suggestions?

Dang, I should have put this thread somewhere else. This subforum is dead lately. I wish people would use the "New Posts" button more.

a photoblog is really easy to do with wordpress and a plugin called slimbox. you could get the api for facebook and twitter and integrate those in to the blog as well

It's a great idea! - do it!

best of all, you should be able to do it for free.

Okay, glad you guys like this idea. I'm thinking I can have it update with a new pic everyday and let users submit photos. I also have a lot of my own ideas for photos, demotivational posters and the like.

Maybe some more experienced webmasters can help me out with this one.

I'm a little concerned about copyright issues. Now like I said, most of the pictures I'm thinking of using are already on dozens of websites. And the people who make these types of "liberty pictures" probably aren't the types who would sue, anyway.

Still, should I be concerned about this? I'm actually wondering if I should form an LLC in case I'm sued.

Yes, you should be concerned. As a person familiar with Nixon's tactics, I say, yes, take precautions.

Pity posting links would be nowhere near as good as having the pic already right in their faces.
