TOKYO -- The weather agency says a volcano in southern Japan is spewing ash and rock again as the country struggles with the aftermath of a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in the north.

this is going to ripple around the pacific rim
as it arcs and has hawaii as the center of
the wheel. alaska has had small tremors.
mexico + southern california can be volatile.

Despite the devastation, mother nature can really generate some spectacular imagery:

How many carbon credits did Japan buy for their global warming climate changing, Al Gore/Clinton globalists profiteering initiatives?

satellite shot, look's like the region is loaded with trouble. The 1,421-metre (4,689-feet) Shinmoedake volcano in the Kirishima range saw its first major eruption in 52 years in January. There had not been any major activity at the site since March 1.

Actually, I think Hawaii just a couple of days ago had an old volcano come alive. I wonder if it was part of the same thing.

My God, can't these people catch a break??Well, when you build up your civilization in a place called "The Ring Of Fire" this sort of thing shouldn't be unexpected.

Earthquakes and eruptions often go hand in hand, so this is not uncommon.

Thanks for the lesson Professor Matt, but I already know this.

I think Japanese culture developed somewhat before geological information on the 'ring of fire' came to light.

I can't say I much like the arrow in Matt's picture pointing pretty much to where I live, though.....
