You think they'll really do anything? and if they were going to, wouldn't it be a better idea to do it before warning them? If I was Ben bernanke I would be destroying any emails that make me look bad right now.

The world's most (in)famous hacker group - Anonymous - known for effectively shutting down their hacking nemesis security firm (with clients such as Morgan Stanley and, unfortunately for them, Bank of America)- HBGary (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/11_12/b4220066790741.htm?campaign_id=rss_topStories), advocating the cause of Wikileaks, and the threat made by one of its members that evidence of fraud by Bank of America (http://www.zerohedge.com/article/hacker-collective-anonymous-release-documents-proving-bank-america-committed-fraud-monday)will be released on Monday, has just launched communication #1 in its Operation "Empire State Rebellion." The goal - engage in "a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience" until Ben Bernanke steps down and the "Primary Dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately."
The Anonymous manifesto:

We are a decentralized non-violent resistance movement, which seeks to restore the rule of law and fight back against the organized criminal class.
One-tenth of one percent of the population has consolidated wealth in unprecedented fashion and launched an all-out economic war against 99.9% of the population.
We are not affiliated with either wing of the two-party oligarchy. We seek an end to the corrupted two-party system by ending the campaign finance and lobbying racket.
Above all, we aim to break up the global banking cartel centered at the Federal Reserve, International Monetary Fund, Bank of International Settlement and World Bank.
We demand that the primary dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy, effective immediately.
As a first sign of good faith we demand Ben Bernanke step down as Federal Reserve chairman.
Until our demands are met and a rule of law is restored, we will engage in a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience.
In our next communication we will announce Operation Empire State Rebellion.

Glorious Chairman Ben - our free advice to you: change your e-mail password stat...

False flags will be done in the name of anonymous. That's my prediction on how the net gets regulated.

Remember that "Anonymous" is not a group.

Seriously, it's organized by a fast paced image board where people post: porn, porn, and a little goat porn for good measure. Something picking up is basically a chance of luck.

It's like thousands of people shouting in a crowd, each yelling different things and not actually talking or communicating. Someone next to him may hear something and like it and shout it to, maybe it'll spread into a temporary chat. But, usually, it's dissolved into the crowd.

Someone made this video and hopes it'll spread and people will pick up on it, I highly doubt he organized anything before hand. He hoped the video itself will spark something, which I doubt.

I highly doubt that it'll pick up much fans though. Most of the scriptkiddies who populate 4chan would find the Federal Reserve quite boring.

As much as I'd like to believe that Anon is going to take on the Fed, I can't find anything with which to disagree in your post, Vessol.

They should all take shits on the steps of the Federal Reserve building in NYC or pay homeless people to do so.

Anon has the ability to pull this off. I for one believe that United States government is incapable of fighting a guerrilla war successfully, much less a guerrilla cyber war.

The FED will obviously ignore this warning, but they'd be wise to also steer clear of trying to determine the credibility of this threat, lest they do something to give it credibility, like for instance trying to out the person responsible for this post by "carpet bombing" their research in to the source.

Leave anon alone, let anon play.

For BoA fraud info, they recommend checking here Monday morning:
http://hbgary.anonleaks.ch/ :)

"We urge readers to check into http://hbgary.anonleaks.ch/ first thing Monday - after all this is the portal that released the original damning HBGary evidence, and brought down the firm within weeks. If it can do the same with Bank of America, Monday may just soon be a national holiday."

Well seeing how they told Ben to change his password stat, I'm assuming they will be hacking to find information on the email addresses of each of their targets then digging up any info on them, release all their e-mails. Even if Ben goes and deletes his emails right now, I wouldn't be surprised if Anonymous was able to recover deleted e-mails. I wouldn't underestimate them. I don't think I've ever heard them make an announcement and failed to deliver on it.

I completely agree with you. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more and more innocent people being hacked by the government then they go around and make a story on it to display on the MSM claiming it was Anonymous. However, I highly doubt it will matter. They can regulate it all they want, but it will just piss Anonymous off even more and they'll find more targets or state something like "each day the government leaves the internet regulated, we'll hack a government website"

This is good. Wikileaks, anon, Ron Paul, and a growing number of awakened people are swarming the fed right now. It's only a matter of time before something gives. There's no way the fed can fight us all off forever.

Exactly. The tides are shifting in our favor and it will only get better and better. The more often corruption is being exposed, the more people who will come forth giving information they were too afraid to do before. As you say "there's no way the fed can fight us all off forever".

JUSTICE!!

Don't know how widespread this is among Anons. I am keeping an eye on this, but I am not sure how effective it will be. Good for them, though.
