A bill that would ensure Utah students learn the U.S. is a compound constitutional republic — not a democracy — has passed both Houses of the Legislature and is now headed to the governor for his signature.

The Founding Fathers on Democracy:

"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."
- John Adams

Democracy is the most vile form of government
- James Madison

"The experience of all former ages had shown that of all human governments, democracy was the most unstable, fluctuating and short-lived."
- John Quincy Adams

"Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths."
- James Madison

Revolutionary Socialists promote Anarchy to create mass chaos. After the mass chaos, Socialists offer Big Government as the solution. Standard blueprint.

In today's age, however, you're called a "Right Wing Extremist" for being a Constitutionalist.
Lets Rollback government to a Constitutional level first, then we can talk about lesser government.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was George Washington who offered bigger gov't as a solution after killing the leaders of the rebellion for the sake of order.

People have made that argument (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Convention#Delegates).

Thomas Jefferson characterized the delegates as an assembly of "demi-gods."
Patrick Henry refused to go because he "smelt a rat in Philadelphia, tending toward the monarchy."
Rhode Island refused to send delegates to the convention.
