Oh, those unintended consequences....!

What are they thinking? Our army is really good at killing people and breaking things -- probably the best of any army, any time, any where. That is the only way we should use it. It is inefficient, outrageously expensive, and morally unacceptable to use them for any purpose where that is not the goal.
