Who, exactly, is behaving as if there is a war on?

Who, exactly, supplied weapons to Mexican cartels that ended up killing a cop? (The ATF did, if you don't want to read the article)

But, we're to blame for a "violent year" for cops.
Marshal shootings reflect violent year for police

A "violent year" that really isn't.

More cops die of traffic related injuries than criminal attack.
61 cops were shot in 2010. 73 died in traffic accidents in 2010.
By 10 March last year, 38 had been shot.
By 10 March this year, 39 had been shot.
That's hardly a "war" and much, much lower than figures from years past.
1974 there were 279 cops killed.
2001 there were 240 cops killed.
But, all that said, take a good look at the picture at the top again.
And then ask yourself, if war is being brought to your front door, who's bringing it?
You, or your friends, family or neighbors?
Or your local state enforcers.
