The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation rankings for Republicans are based on 374 registered voters who describe themselves as Republicans or as Independents who lean Republican, conducted by telephone on October 12-14, 2007.

He's not going to poll well until he wins a primary in one of the early states. People either haven't heard of him yet, or don't think he can win and therefore aren't going to vote for him in a poll.

Remember Pat Buchanan was only polling at 6% before he won New Hampshire. He shot up 15 points overnight because of all the press he got. The same will happen with Ron, we just have to ensure he wins New Hampshire.

the latest CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll,

What's the methodology? Past Bush supporters? Registered Republicans who voted in the last primary? Remember that the last primary was simply a vote of confidence for Bush. Who knows how they polled.

AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE???

You mean, besides the myriad reasons that people discuss ad nauseum on this site, day in and day out, for months on end, relating to the vagaries of opinion polls?

Or, as someone else in this thread pointed out, that the margin of error is as big as Paul's and Hunter's combined vote total in this particular poll?

Other than that, no, I don't think you're missing anything. But I could be wrong. :p

As Penn and Teller would say... "Fuck you Frank."

...yeah, as mentioned previously, notice the subtle mind manipulation in the pics. the 'delightfully' smiling, hilary, and the happy all-american baseball fan and the nation's mayor, rudy. the two contrived front-runners that the msm is going all out to herd us toward and get us ready for such a prospect.

but alas, 'the msm hasn't considered that after everything is said and done, when the voters step inside the booth alone, confronted with the names rudy, hillary, and ron, there is gonna be a protest.' (http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig8/lopez1.html)

Believe it or not, the general population has no clue who mitt romney is yet.

There are a few reasons why RP doesn't show up in these polls, but the main one is that they poll those who voted in the 2004 Republican primaries. Around 80-85% of RP supporters did NOT vote in the 04 primaries as Republicans, and most Giuliani, etc. supports DID. Totally skewed polls, the online ones are more accurate when it comes to Paul.
