Only been here a short time, and I haven't done any political activism outside of talking to my friends and internet campaigning. I'm not even old enough to vote, but I will be in 2012.

I wish this could seem "more thought out", but the truth is, I haven't gotten much experience yet. I just recently "woke up".

I know why I come here every day - for News.

Most topics that Im going to be interested in are usually being talked about here. And rather than sitting in front of a television being spoon fed the news I'd rather go online and go after the news I want to know about.

Another reason for coming here is to learn and discuss issues together. I think of this place as like a giant beehive.. A Borg collective to use a Star Trek term. If I have something Im not sure about I can bring it up and others who are more familiar with the topic will be able to educate me or flesh out the answer better than I.. and I in turn do that for others when Im the more knowledgable one on the topic being discussed.

This Forum has truly changed some of my core beliefs.

I came here because I heard about Ron Paul from a friend and expected to here some superficial soundbites about how Ron is going to do this and do that and why i should vote for him. I came away with a new philosophy on governance and the role of the state all together. I visit the forum between 3 - 8 times a day and lurk more than I post.

The group of people here is quite outstanding. Fresh ideas, and critical thinkers are the norm around here.

Why do I come here? Same reason I go on Facebook...because there is a severe shortage of liberty-minded folks in this liberal infested city that I live in.
No liberty meetups have ever been held here that I know of.
Before I joined this forum I was clueless about politics...didn't think anyone cared about liberty. RPF and Ron Paul cured my apathy.

I've been visiting LibertyForest almost on a daily basis since 2007 with a few periods of inactivity as other things in life kept me busy. If not for the LibertyForest community I'd be must more cynical about politics as I already am, cause this place constantly remind me that there are many people fighting and organizing for liberty.

I also really love the debate on the forums, while we all don't agree, the level of discourse is civil and intense and you learn a lot of history and economics real damn quick just from peoples debates on the forums.

Overall it's a community that keeps the activist and humanitarian in me alive, and remind to NEVER give up, because they can take my property, but they can never take my freedom.

I never would've thought that when I registered on these forums almost two years ago in order to reply to a thread, that I would've met some of the most intelligent and interesting people ever.

That is the thought that was going on in my head when I was meeting dozens of Ron Paul Forum members in person at CPAC 2011. I had more fun than I had in a long time.

It's not only the people and users here that make the forums great(and they really do), it's the conversations that occur. We have our share of flaimbait and troll threads, but the vast majority of threads are on the issues or on the philosophy that surrounds our movement. There are discussions and sharing over books, videos, and so many other forms and expressions of ideas. Debates arise over the intricacies of ideas and beliefs. It's these debates that truly make me stay on these forum. Far from the fallacy filled debates of so many other websites, debates on the Ron Paul Forum can be fun as much as they can be thought provoking.

I'd like to consider myself a veteran of the internet. I've been using it for almost 12 years and have been a part of dozens of communities. I can safely say that the community and discussions provided by the Ron Paul Forums are easily the best of the best.

This forum has helped me stay on the cutting edge of the news and events that are really affecting the liberty and happiness in our lives or the lives of others who we care about on a daily basis. With the mainstream media muddying the waters on almost anything of importance things can get really confusing. Both the diversity of opinions and the similarity of our goals help to bring out the agenda and the motives which operate against individual freedom and prosperity and show us how to move forward and educate others.

There are a lot of communities and blog sites where people moan and complain about the way things are, or mindlessly cheerlead for their favorite thing/person, but very few places quite as special and empowering as this site is for me.

People here discuss the issues for real -- as in, to figure out what we should do, not just to win arguments or to flame -- and then we make plans and carry them out, based on those discussions. It doesn't sound like anything special to me now that I'm reading what I just wrote, but it really is.

I used to be disengaged, now I'm highly motivated and really looking forward to this next election cycle. I used to feel alone, and even though I don't post that much, now I feel like I'm part of a group moving towards a common goal.

I get a lot of my news here, too. :)

I started out in ideological wasteland of a 15 year old basically believing many contradictory beliefs. On another forum devoted to a game (Dark Fall) I saw a forum war unfolding between libertarians (majority on that forum) and socialists. Lurking there and then posting on it I came to learn about Ron Paul and his attempt to run for president. I watched the first debates and was instantly hooked. Looking for other like minded supporters I found two forums with near identical name. After a while one of the forums, the current RPF, has seemed more well structured and robust. I stayed around and boy am I glad that I did. Not only did I end up as an-cap I also met so many brilliant people here.

I remember the days of crazy mood swings as RPF was organizing for Iowa and then NH. I ended up campaigning in NH with others from NYC.

I've been a long time fan of Ron Paul's and have been a subscriber to his Freedom Report for many years. So when I heard in the spring of 2007 that he was running for President, I hopped online to see how I could get involved. The Ron Paul Forums was the first site that looked like it was going to be geared toward doing something and become activist headquarters. Good instincts.

Yes there are a few here that are looking to antagonize those who believe differently than they do - and that goes for both sides of the many things that divide us. But the vast majority of the people I came in contact with here were looking to get behind a good principled man, and work with anyone else that was willing to work with them for that cause. It has been the most amazing thing to see people who normally would want very little to do with each other because of the different worlds they live in uniting behind a cause that they found most important - liberty. Pro-choice, pro life, gay, straight, atheists and devout believers, teetotalers and "substance abusers", old and young - working together and finding out they had more in common than they ever would have believed.

This place keeps me up to date in real time with regards to interviews of our favorite statesman, and Senators, and congress people that are relevant to the Liberty movement. Youtube vids, pictures, opinions, thought provoking rants, the sub-forums, and just a place that is current, and not 'full' of itself...lots of fun as well. I get lots of laughs in here, and some tear jerker moments...

Basically the best site on the web. Imho.

Probably left something out, but thats it.

This forum literally helped me begin a process within myself of more self-reliance. Most of you know I'm Deaf, but you may not know some of the background reasons that led to my participation on these forums. I saw Ron on Maher in the spring/summer of 2007, and then forgot about it until I accidentally turned on the GOP debates. I was fascinated with his anti-war rhetoric and the other things he said made so much sense that I basically told myself to unlearn everything I was taught and just relearn it all over again to see if his positions still made sense. I was combing the internet for weeks just soaking in information about everything from abortion to the death penalty (I would say I was politically apathetic prior to that point and didn't bother to get interested).

The biggest problem? Back in 2007, there was no such thing as YouTube automated captions (and very few subbed YT videos overall), and given that there was a media blackout on Ron, it was essentially a blackout on me because of all the videos on YouTube I couldn't make sense of. It was extremely frustrating. I remember especially wanting to understand "When in the Course of Human Events", "Stop Dreaming" and "Don't Tread On Me" and waiting for weeks. That's when RPF came in. I found this place by a search, I believe, and started a thread asking for help with captioning videos.

I basically came in wanting people to do the work for me. Angelatc and some other folks here were awesome, and I think a sub-forum was set up to have discussions on how to get RP videos captioned. At some point, I realized I could do them myself if I had the transcript, and started subbing videos. A blog came afterwards with all these captioned videos. Eventually, I've gotten to the point where I'm trying to recreate videos like "Stop Dreaming" and "Don't Tread on Me" with the kicker being that they're already captioned when they debut for the first time. I am 100% certain that Ron Paul has 4 to 5 times the number of captioned YouTube videos via search compared to every other candidate except Obama, whose White House has official videos captioned beautifully.

I've found the RPF members to be very engaging and friendly. I check this forum every evening after work to see what is going on. The debates that go on here help me formulate my own opinions and I'm appreciative of all the encouragement and support I've recieved over the years from various forum members. I don't plan on going anywhere.

Most of the reasons that I would list for being a member here have already been stated. The honest discussions/debates, the community, the real-life activism that results from our collective brainstorming... I've been on many different forums over the years, and what you find here in short is simply amazing.

There are so many different opinions/stances/topics discussed on a daily basis, and for the most part its done in a completely civil manner. Ive even seen members that were the antithesis of everything we stand for be welcomed here, and engaged in honest discussion, and they either still are members or they were for long periods of time. The ones that left weren't run out on a rail or banned, most left of their own accord for whatever reason, I haven't seen that anywhere else, especially on a political forum community site.

A perfect example of why I love this forum and its members was the Presidents Day moneybomb. Who else could literally come up with an idea, get it organized and promoted, and have it be so successful all within something like a week?

But the most moving thing for me is knowing that there are so many individuals that feel as I do all over the country, and world for that matter. I can come here any time of day or night and be reminded why I continue to fight.

I came here in mid-2007 as a pretty hardcore liberal, but was basically over the moon for RP from the beginning because of his anti-war stance and compassionate demeanor.

Before Ron Paul, I was planning to vote for Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich, just to give you an idea of where I was at the time. Thanks to some extraordinarily patient people here at the forums, I was slowly talked out of my coercive economic beliefs and gently steered toward researching libertarianism, Austrian economics, and individualist philosophy.

The funny thing is, before my time here, I had never even picked up an economics book in my entire life, and in fact found the subject intensely boring and intimidating. It was only after I got here and became consumed with fascination for Ron Paul's message that I found real information to back up my convictions, which were now completely different than the ones I'd held before.

As of this May, it will be four years since my discovery of Ron Paul and the message of liberty. Dang...how time flies when you're having fun!

I came here in 2007, having already known vaguely of Ron Paul as that "libertarian guy in Congress". Aside from Mises forums (which can get slightly boring due to having less diverse opinion), RPFs provides the most interesting perspective on current events and philosophy and provides me with news at least a few days before I hear about it from other sources.

I come back sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, because the people that post here are ahead of the curve, provoking thoughts on both sides of each issue. Trully an amazing site to search through news and events, props to all of the main contributors. I also refrain mostly on issues, because I'm not on their level of debate, yet I know truth when I see it. Bottom line: The most intelligent discussion of current events and beyond go on in this forum. Long Live the REVOLUTION, and it will.

I was first exposed to the idea of freedom by Harry Browne when he was on the Mancow show in 1998 or '99. It was something I quickly identified with as I inherently knew there was wrong with picking between only 2 options that both sucked.
Fast forward a few years and I finally started to educate myself.
I always knew who Dr. Paul was and when I heard he was running for president I knew I had to spread the word.
Seeing the reloveution signs on the road in '07 really sealed the deal for me. I wasn't one man on an island!
I lurked this site for years before registering just a few weeks ago.

Why am I here?

I want to read what like minded individuals are saying about current events.
I like being challenged on my beliefs. This web site and the individuals that post here make me smarter and make it so I can not only defend them, but defend them intelligently.

If anyone reads this and wants to come away with one thing it is this: When posting something in an internet debate or speaking in a real life debate, conduct yourself in an honorable fashion. You probably aren't going to change the mind of the person you're engaged with but that person watching is passing judgment. That guy you may not even recognize really is listening. That is the guy you can convert and freedom is popular! He will tell his friends!

I first started visiting as a disillusioned high school student right around the Iowa caucuses in 2007. I watched as many here grew disappointed with Dr. Paul's showing in the primaries in the 2008 cycle, many leaving the forums when they saw no hope.

Now I am in college and happy to say that the liberty movement is alive and well. We helped elect a Senator in Kentucky, a Representative in Michigan, a State Representative in North Carolina, and numerous others in offices all across the nation. We helped funnel millions of dollars into campaigns that, without our help, would have never gotten a toe in the door.

We may have been shut out of much of the media in 2008, but Liberty Forest remained as a breeding ground of ideas for our movement. When I went to CPAC this year I enjoyed meeting many of the people here on these forums, people whose hard work and dedication has brought us into the forefront as a renewed and acceptable viewpoint in the Republican Party.

We have paleocons, libertarians, anarcho-capitalists, classical liberals and a little bit of everything else here on RPF. The ideological diversity with a unifying skepticism of the state provides excellent ground for discussion. More importantly, the communal environment here allows us to provide an underlying unity to the disparate wings of the liberty movement. Moving into 2012, there is nowhere to go but up. It is my deeply held belief that no matter what happens next, Liberty Forest will be leading the way.

Liberty Forest met a market need for people who agree the world can be peaceful and fair, if big government doesn't get in the way. On this forum it's very diverse as we're all over the Nolan Chart and all over the world, but we're all voluntary minded individuals for peaceful resolution to the important problems we face.

Liberty Forest is run well, is easy to use, easy to look at, and has a ton of members. Its members are above average in intelligence, knowledge, and perspective. We have precious metals geniuses and computer geniuses and history geniuses and political theory geniuses and parliamentary procedure geniuses and gun geniuses and war geniuses and doctors and lawyers and on and on. They work right alongside teenagers not old enough to vote, but good with photoshop, or helping to transcribe videos for the loving blind. This group is full of love, charity, goodwill... all the good stuff one expects from a family but is surprised to find from a political forum.

As any collective, Ron Paul Forums is but the sum of its people. It's a damn good sum of people.

It's among my first site to browse in the morning and is usually open on one of my tabs throughout the day. I come here for sanity and to get an explanation on issues that arise. I read a lot of comments (from articles on other sites) and I'm amazed at the clarity, and the principled thought on here compared to elsewhere. I can't stand partisan crap and It's pretty much doesn't exists here minus a post or two.

I come here almost 2-3xs a day; pretty much everyday! Sometimes I just lurk reading news & comments. The people on this forum almost always are posting & commenting on events and news from around the globe from everywhere. I consider it one of my most important one stop shopping alternative news sites vs msm! ;)

It has taught me sooo much about economics, history, politics, etc... MORE THAN I HAVE EVER LEARNED IN MY 46 YEARS OF LIFE VS. OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM/MSM News etc... I continue to become more awakened to the "Matrix" that we all live in. I learn something new everyday from my worldwide web travels :)

Cant wait to see the Atlas Shrugged movie released. I am now also reading two books/ebooks online which continue my awakening from the matrix. Very interesting & profound reading www.thecrowhouse.com and www.lawofone.info

Happy Awakening!

I found out about Ron Paul while researching my lost rights. Heard his name mentioned on some gun boards and researched him.
Found that he was looking at a 2008 run and decided that I wanted to support him. I found my way here.
I have stayed around because this is the most intelligent and informed bunch of folks on the web.

This site stays on top of breaking news. And is active in responding to events, and will be the center of any campaigns to come.
Waiting for the announcement.

I visit RPF daily. It is my primary source of news. I can be sure that if there is any event or publication relating to liberty that is deserving of my attention, it will be posted here and usually followed with excellent analysis by VERY intelligent people. I check original sources as needed, but as someone who doesn't watch TV and doesn't subscribe to any print journal, RPF is my link to the world and I nearly ALWAYS not only have the breaking news sooner than anyone I know, I have a more comprehensive report.

I enjoy the high level of discussion, the humor, and have learned a great deal about amazingly diverse topics.

RPF is essentially a clearinghouse for anything and everything that relates to the liberty movement in the USA and beyond.

I started lurking here as the primaries were pretty much over and McCain had wrapped everything up. I was becoming disillusioned with Bush and supported Romney but didn't really know why. I knew I disliked the democrats, but I didn't care for the Republicans. One night surfing youtube I came across some pro-Ron Paul videos, and I was converted on the spot. Don't remember how I found the forums but I've been coming here since to stay informed, strategize, etc. This community is awesome because I really feel like we are making a difference for the better.

I saw Ron Paul in the republican debates after hearing about him from an online forum and of course I liked him. I found out about RonPaulForums and signed up immediately. My highlights include posting important news, creating a moneybomb site for Schiff with the help of others, and being a delegate in the Republican party of my State for RP.

RonPaulForums.com / LibertyForest.com

These forums have been a center piece for all things related to liberty, especially news and campaigns. Without this community nothing would be the same. We consistently and thoughtfully give the libertarian spin on everything and give ourselves cannon fodder to keep trucking through the fight for liberty and freedom.

This website is catered to the needs of the community striving to let us share and or learn the best information we can/want to. Because of these forums and the people visiting them, it has caused a ripple effect that has touched on so many people that it would be hard for us to count. It has helped candidates by starting and spreading moneybombs and garnering campaign support.

These forums have been a pretty vital utility to advance freedom and strengthen opinion. We are all friends here and we are respectful of one another. That is the core of the forums that I believe is at its heart - the information and friendliness.

Personally I come here because of all available resources, this is the place I can keep my finger on the pulse of the movement. I like watching the growth of the movement and the education of the movement. It has grown from a place that was overflowing with enthusiasm and talented people but low on strategy and understanding the hurdles to be overcome. Those were hard lessons learned but so exciting and valuable the first Presidential cycle. Now I see the same greenhorns with the same enthusiam, the same talent and now so much more savvy to what really needs to be done to get around the matrix. I am so impressed that I actually think in the end we are gonna win and I come here to watch the barometer rise. There's a storm a commin!

I originally came here and became a member so that I could get news updates on Rand's Senate campaign. That's how I discovered this forum. I then began to visit the general forum as well, and I found that I was able to express my views freely without the threat of being banned. It's nice to have somewhere to post comments, because both Red State and free republic banned me for not supporting a neo-conservative foreign policy. I still disagree with some of the more hardcore libertarians on certain issues, but it's nice to be able to have a free and open debate on issues where we disagree. But I think that we're united on most of the core issues, and I was proud to cast a vote for Ron Paul in the GOP primary in 2008. I look forward to Ron's 2012 campaign if he decides to run.

I originally came here because it was the central hub for the grassroots campaign for Ron Paul. I've stayed with the forum because of wealth of knowledge the members bring to the forum. If there is something I don't understand about economics, or history, or foreign policy, I know I can come here and have it sorted out.

This site is also one of the best news aggregators I've been to. Anytime relevant news to the movement pops up, you can guarantee you'll see it here. The discussions around the news stories are usually insightful too, giving context and historical perspective to the stories. On the other hand, many of the posters are in a competition to see who is the laissez-faire in their ideas, but hopefully that will subside as more activists come into the mix during the election.

When it comes to elections, this site is very unique in that it is like a thouasand-headed campaign manager. Every statement made by a liberty candidate is analyzed by hundreds of us. We're in a constant struggle to find the best narrative to put forth, a narrative that shows the voters that our candidate has vastly better proposals for how government should be run, but at the same time not emphasize our more "radical" ideas that would scare away some voters. I don't know how often Ron or Rand's campaign consults this site, but I'm sure that when they do they will be getting good advice.

This place is my home on the internet and has been since 2007. Not only do I enjoy the news and discussions but this place and the people who make up this community have become a family to me. Some of the best friends I have ever had have come from right here on RPF. The first time I had ever met many of the forum members in a group setting was at cpac 2011 and from moment one I felt like I was right where I belonged and by the end of the event I realized I had just had one of the best times of my life. It was the first time in my life that I had ever truly felt like I belonged in and was wanted within a group. I know I was not the only one who felt that way at the end of the event and none of it would have even happened without everyone coming together and doing what they could to flood just that one event with forum members. No matter if it is major straw polls, money bombs, debates or responding to a media that hates us.. RPF is right at the forefront and leading the charge. This was, is and always will be "the Paul hive" where we continue to shape the political landscape. I truly consider it an honor to know you all and consider you friends and I cannot wait to get busy on the next campaign.

The discussions around the news stories are usually insightful too, giving context and historical perspective to the stories...

+1.

This is going to sound kind of high-minded:
I think this website is a serious force for good in the world. The discussions on how to deal with issues (both practical and philosophical) contribute to a better understanding of humanity. And the activist side of this forum promotes those ideas (through Dr. P and others) to the rest of the world.

Also, I enjoy the funny thread titles and the occasional thread harassing Collins about his pony tail.

I have been posting on Ron Paul Forums since December 2009. I would have been here in 2007 if I had known about the forums as I was a Ron Paul supporter but not politically active.

For now, I am here every day because of my passion for the cause of liberty. I love learning and this venue offers an education like no other. The wealth of knowledge here is unmatched anywhere.

I was first introduced to the teachings of Ron Paul by a good friend in 2006 on a river rafting trip. I researched Ron Paul and educated myself on his beliefs. Finally, I found an honest politician. Some of the material I found most informative include Ron Paul's "The Revolution: A Manifesto," in which I was immediately addicted to learning more. Others include Murray Rothbard's "The Mystery of Banking", and, "The Secrets of the Federal Reserve" by Eustace Mullins. The truth was coming out!

I made a trek to Philadelphia for a freedom rally, where I had the honor to meet Dr. Paul. I also had the chance to listen to Judge Napolitano and to Tom Woods, an excellent and knowledgeable speaker who introduced me to the literature of Hans-Hermann Hoppe. One of the most memorable topics of the rally was when Dr. Paul spoke about liberty and how if someone holds a candle in a dark room, then it actually puts out quite a bit of light. I understood that Ron Paul was holding the candle of liberty in the back of the Socialist dark world. As I left Philly, I encountered a gun show in the parking lot. Guys & gals were carrying rifles, pistols, and other weapons and taking them inside ... I was taken aback. I thought to myself... "This is liberty."

When I returned home, I continued my research. I found Adam Kokesh's famous speech and learned that he was running for congress in New Mexico. I called his campaign team and decided their hard work, friendliness and similar passion were just what I was looking for. Moved by my new knowledge and the enthusiasm for the spreading the word, I moved to Santa Fe to help Adam, Michael Maresco, and their liberty team, and promote my new found love of freedom along with the cause associated with it. This was my very first attempt at politics and the greatest success was meeting all my like-minded compatriots, fighting for liberty.

I haven't stopped posting since day one. Ron Paul Forums lets me say what I want to say. My voice is heard to the world. It is my home on the Internet.

I love to read and write. I love Ron Paul. I was one of the emailers that asked him to run in 07 at the end of 06. The debates in threads are quite informative for the most part with, to me, the best part being all the obscure little facts that get magnified for their importance in unique and a thoughtful manner and not glossed over. Some of the funniest image replies I have ever seen have been here. I swear some of you must collect these 24/7. Finally when RP takes the general in a landslide this forum will become a part of the RP Presidential Library. Those future historians will ned a soundproof reading area so as not to disturb other visitors when they are ROTFFLTFAO going through some of these threads. Too bad many of the linked gif and jpeg's that are hilarious and thought provoking won't be attached anymore a they will not be on the internets. On the other hand redundanciers like Conza88 and his never ending stream of other peoples video and quotes will get the majority of his contributions washed away in dead links. Serves the backslapper well;)

I like the color scheme.

I was a hardcore communist/fascist and used to go to tyrannyforums.com but the colors were ugly. I found this site and liked the color scheme. Now I support Liberty. Thank you ronpaulforums.

Ron Paul, but I stay because it is refreshing to see people's thoughts that aren't based on knee jerk left and right way type of thinking.

Why am I here?

Because Liberty is Popular.

I could say a bunch of things, however, what I see happening in this country is far more important than anything I would have to say.

the last time i was involved in politics was in 92 when perot ran then again in 96 for perot. after that i was done! i didnt like how the media made perot into a joke.

fast forward years later....i came to this site around june of 2007 when i first heard ron paul speak in a youtube video. i looked up ron paul only because i kept seeing his name all over the internet. that 1 video pulled me in. i just couldnt believe what i was hearing from this man. he spoke the truth. after trying my best to look into his past and catch him in a lie or flip flopping, i discovered this man had been saying the same thing for decades. he was HONEST. i was hooked.

i rely on this site on a daily basis for news about general things and ron paul things. it is the most informative site ive ever came across. and the neat thing is, this is all done by regular people just like me. we are a community here. we have our squabbles here and there, but we all have one goal in mind. seeking the truth in our government, and supporting the ONLY man running for president that has our same goal in mind. he is of course, ron paul.

i easily come tho this site on average of about 6 times a day. i come here before i ever turn on the tv for the news programs. this site lets me see the truth about things rather then the media spin. and after being here for so many years now, i can easily see the spin they put on tv. i trust this site. i am so glad its here. this is where i can also work for ron paul on a voluntary basis. so many of pauls grassroots efforts have started right here with regular people just wanting to do anything to help advance freedom.

hands down, this is the best site on the internet and im honored to be allowed to be a part of it.

A friend began talking to me about RP, i was a moderate conservative until i was hurled into libertarianism, i grabbed it with both hands and devoured all it had to teach. since that day five months ago ive been on RPF everyday and consider myself a fanatic.

I stay for the news and the rational intellegent conversation

I think there is something about Ron Paul that a lot of people realize, and a lot of people do not. Due to the tremendous support for him, he has grown beynd the physical boundaries of being just an Honest Man into a simple Idea, an Idea embraced by the people of the World, and Ideas are Bulletproof. "An Army can not stop an Idea whose time has come."

---

Ron Paul is the start of something big enough that it will change the way of life for every man, woman, and child on the planet. He has lead simply by being an example for others to follow, and those that support him and his philosophy will never let the Idea of Freedom die. When he becomes President (When, not If), many others will appear to support not only Ron Paul, but Liberty and the foundations and principles that this country was founded on. Ron Paul is a Movement that has taken the world by Storm because Freedom is Popular. It is our responsibility to lead the world in a better direction than the one it is currently headed, to lead by example in support of the Idea of Freedom, and when that Idea has taken root in office, the message of Freedom will be Unstoppable.

Personally, the first time I saw Ron Paul was the first time I saw the original Zeitgeist. I had an immediate reaction expecting that what he was going to say was going to be more lies, filth, and doublespeak, which I expect from every single politician in office. My jaw nearly hit the floor when I actually heard one man tell the truth about the Federal Reserve Bank. And I caught his name, learned more about him, and found that his ideas and beliefs were in fact that of my own.

I can only say that he is the only Presidential Candidate that I have ever supported in my life, and I'm no spring chicken.

I'm keeping mine brief. Completely apathetic before Ron Paul, now I have a bit of hope yet for our country. Since I've found RPF, which has all been here recently, I come here when I wake up and when I'm about to go to bed. I keep returning for the information, enthusiasm, and ideas. Like most of you, I think RP can make a serious difference in the world, a great positive difference so I just want to help and be a part of it. I do not want to look back at this critical time period and have to say "I did nothing. I believed in his message but I was too cynical to actually try and do something to help out."

Because I've been a lonely voice shouting in the wilderness since the 1980s about the frightening nature of the growth of the federal government, and this place beats the hell out of the lonely wilderness.

Very attractive, indeed.

When one is desparate for real news and the truth, he needs a place to go find it. I am here every day and was so relieved to find RP in 2007 and then this forum.

There is nothing on television to compare and the need to be interactive is strong. Wonderful, intelligent thinkers here contribute so much knowledge and critical thought to every aspect of the RP philosophy. Without this place I would feel completely lost, with no community of support for the things in which I most believe: Our Constitution, liberty and freedom, privacy, rule of law, sane foreign policy and so many other things.

This forum is like our own liberty, truth, and information channel. It is a way out of the darkness of the suppression of the past, and with each new law regression of hundreds of years back to the past, into the light of real progress toward what our founders intended us to become and a future of freedom. This can only be accomplished by throwing off the chains of the past that now bind us and moving the argument and movement forward by ridding ourselves of the greedy controlling elitists who continually steal from the people by all their sordid, restrictive, and dangerous policies.

I am ever grateful for Dr. Paul and his message that reminds us daily why this country exists. The freedom experiment must not become a lost cause. This may be our last chance to save it. If we succeed, it will be because of people like the ones who frequent this forum. If we fail, the price will be paid by the entire world as people the world over need us to be free in order to achieve their own freedom.

Likeminded people (for the most part)...

People who love liberty and want government out of their personal lives...
People who are health conscience and are for health freedom...
People who care about humanity and share the same sentiment to stop the unlawful wars and bring our troops home!!

Most fun I've had in politics since the 1992 Perot campaign.

Oh goody. Does this mean mine was not the sole vote for Ross Perot back in the day? :D
