Thought it may be useful to let people know of an easy way to post a URL but have it not be clickable. This would force people to copy and paste it into their browser and prevent the destination from tracking ronpaulforums.com as the referrer.

All you have to do is uncheck the 'Automatically parse links in text' box in 'Miscellaneous Options' below your post.

I'm sure most people know this but it may be useful for those who didn't.

ex: www.ronpaul2008.com

NO GOOD ! I only quoted you and voila it's clickable

edit--) sorry didn't mean to sound harsh.

I think entering a url as code (the # sign in the toolbar) might work

www.ronpaul2008.com

But if not, you can add an referrer anonymizer like http://anonym.to?http://www.ronpaul2008.com

OR

There is a plugin (http://anonym.to?http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=131292) for vBulletin v3.6.x

If you use firefox why not disable it permanently?

In firefox:

* Type about:config into the address bar
* Scroll down 'til you find network.http.sendrefererHeader
* Remember or write down the original value
* Double click it and enter 0 into the box

The browser will now not send a referer header. This can also be done in Opera...
