I woud totally move there if they did. I would move to any former state that seceeded from this filthy bankrupt banksta banana republic.

Love Mike Church.

Alaska seceding really won't impact the global price of oil by much. The Beaufort Sea has an estimated 8 billion barrels and the world consumes about 80 billion barrels a year. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/greenspace/2009/10/arctic-offshore-drilling-plan-cleared-for-beaufort-sea.html Shell Oil was granted some leases in the area in 2009.

Price might drop a few cents a barrel. Alaska doesn't have enough excess oil reserves to really make a dent in global oil prices.

I see secession speak and i think to myself the us gov hasn't declared war on 130 plus occupied countries! What makes you think they wouldn't just occupy the state and make up a reason. They surely are not following any rule of law at this point why would anyone think they would follow now! I'm not buying this option unless the state is going to have all out war with the us gov???

Wasn't Palin's husband a member of the AK secession movement?

Alaska is a bunch of socialists. I live next to nothing but republicans and they have no concept of small government. They just think government should be used to help them.

Maybe, but Palin's price will go up for sure.
