Obama declares state governors will enforce health care bill whether they like it or not

At a recent meeting with US state governors in Washington, DC, President Obama made clear his intent to force the individual states to comply with his unconstitutional health care overhaul. Twenty-six states have already filed federal lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of the bill -- and some judges have already declared it to be null and void -- prior to the announcement.

Clearly overstepping his constitutional bounds, Obama chided states for even questioning the bill, despite the fact that it will likely plunge every one of them into irreparable bankruptcy. He also declared a refusal to allow states to "weaken" the bill in any way, even though two federal judges have already ruled it to be unconstitutional

I notice that this article doesn't actually quote Obama directly.

Well, Wyoming's new governor should just step down. He started serving last month, and ran on only two platforms:
1. guns 'R' good, um'kay?
2. opposing Obamacare.

He just signed a great gun law (if you're a gun owner), and now Obama has told him to jump in the lake about opposing Obamacare, so I guess should just go he fishing for the next four years.

Obama: Flexibility OK, but health care law remains

Anxious to ease deepening political tensions with the states, President Barack Obama on Monday told governors he wants to speed up their ability to enforce his signature health care law on their own terms. But his concession goes only so far: He warned he won't allow states to weaken the law.

George III was a piker (http://the-classic-liberal.com/government-cult/)!

What's O Duce gonna do? Send in the military, or deny states that sweet, sweet fed money (like they did over the idiotic drinking age)?

In nullification, the state governments say "we've determined -- for ourselves, we don't need any of you black-robed ninnies to do it for us -- that this piece of legislation is unconstitutional on its face, and we're not going to stand for it, at least within our own borders. Injunction? You can shove your injunction up your ass. If you attempt to come here to enforce it, our National Guard will do the shoving for you (http://knappster.blogspot.com/2010/03/dont-repeallitigate-nullifyinterpose.html). Complimentary. No charge."

The federal government is in it's final death throes. Obama has no authority. The states should just wait him out.

In that scenario, the first thing the National Guard would have to do is to seize its own weapons and equipment, since everything the Guard uses is federal property.

Of course, I know some guys willing to help the state out ..........:)

Exactly this is wild desperation, and it shows. Obama will not be dictating anything anymore. The law is unconstitutional and the states themselves have come together to oppose it rightfully so.

Obama is finished, I will never submit to that law...ever.

Or else, you'll do what Mr. President?

Say it.

Exactly, lets see the ugly side of government, what exactly does he think is the reason people would comply against their wills?

First, he will cut off their federal funding. In turn, the states will refuse to submit the federal income tax from their residents. That's where this heading.

I think most states would cave, just like they did over the idiotic federal drinking age.

That was a meeting held at the White House between Obama/Biden and Democratic Governors across the country. It was a 'looking for money' meeting. C-SPAN cover the post meeting interview with some of the governors and was just canned jobs/education propaganda, wouldn't answer any other questions. The Meeting interview is 9:30 mins long and no mention of Obamacare and governors that spoke, refused to answer government labor relations in Wisconsin questions.

He sure is sending a message to those evil insurance companies by now not only authorizing the Federal government to compel you to purchase their services, but he wants to force state governments to force you to purchase their services as well.

What happened to all that democrat B.S. about how evil these corporations are? Yeah, so evil that it should be illegal not to do business with them. That's what this bill has been all about since the beginning.
