I don't see a poll. But Gadaffi is worse. Obama is an elected official who will be out of office after two terms and may only serve one term.

Ghadaffi or whatever, is a dicktater running a country full of people who would rather fight than attempt to get along with each other.
obamanation is taking down, along with his cronies, the most open country in the world.

Excellent post.

Before I can answer this question, need some data. How many innocent civilians so far killed by drone attacks from air under Obama's command and how many by air attacks under Gaddafi's command?

I was really torn on this one. I mean Obama does not use attack helicopters and fighters to commit genocide on his own people (yet), he just does that to brown ppl overseas. He doesn't "disappear" and torture as many people. He's a bit more accountable, but not much more...

Lets be honest. Obama is not good by any standards, but Gadaffi is a fucking madman.

How this is even a question is beyond me. It's like asking who was worse. FDR or Stalin? Just ridiculous.

Sorry, no it wasn't for you. Obama is in no way comparable to a violent dictater. He was elected and he will be president no more than 5 more years for starters...

Obama is worse to me because he affects me more.

Gadaffi is a better dresser, though.

Obama, like most US presidents, will send young American men there to die in a "humanitarian mission." But it's not about the people of Libya, it's all about oil.

As Jim Goad said "The US rarely messes with countries with no oil no matter how much their leaders act like Hitler."

"They are both bad i.e. anti-Israel, islamist, socialists"

Uhh...Obama is anti-Israel and an Islamist? I think they're both bad, but that's a bullshit option for our dear leader. Thus, no vote from me.

People who make polls always do that...throw in some weird bullshit so that if you select that option, you're essentially agreeing with it.

Gonna go with Gadaffi on this one, Obama has not called in air strikes on his own citizens yet..so a bit to go.

Neither did Gaddafi apparently:

Did Obama appropriate money to prop up Gadaffi?

If Obama funded the actions of Gadaffi, then he is responsible for Gadaffi's crimes and his own as far as I'm concerned.

But his handling of this situation has been better than I would expect out of McCain.

obama affects me and my country directly, so he's worse in my book. gadaffi will go by his own peoples hands soon enough.

I used to believe us libertarians were better than this. But how can anybody who is not posting from a mental institution accused Obama of being anti Israel and islamist? This is a man that has bent over backwards for Israel, has promised more money and military aid to Israel than any other US president, has also continued the unconditional defense of Israel in the UN security council, excused all the bulldozing and destruction of Palestine cities for the creation of more Jewish only Israeli settlements.

On the other hand, Obama has continued the use of depleted uranium rounds which cause severe birth defects in their cities, has killed more innocent Afghanis and Pakistanis with drone strikes than Bush did in his 8 yrs in office, he supports most of not all of the dictators oppressing the Muslims of the world and finally he rejected Islam publicly by claiming (cos I think hes actually an atheist) to be a Christians. With all these obvious facts easy to research, I just don't know why you decided to post the 3rd option in the poll. I tend to feel sorry for the reactionary, neocon, racist types when they say such ridiculous thing about Obama and now I am hearing in Ronpaul forums. Just sad

Finally, I was wondering if you could tell me how you came up with the idea that Obama is anti Israel and Islamist?

The answer should be Obama for everyone, because what Gadaffi does should be none of our business; and it doesn't effect us.

The fact that this question is even posed, and the actual results of the poll itself, are precisely why Ron Paul supporters are labeled as fringe lunatics.

Anyone here want to help Ron win an election? Then grow up.

Tell me about it. This ridiculous poll is let to stand but dare try to expose people like Alex Jones and the thread gets locked or moved to hot-topics. Birther issues, questioning Obama's religion, accusing him of not supporting Israel enough or some other irrelevant divisive issue is what puts new people off. But lets leave in general section cos 14% of us are nuts.

Actually I take that back, my guess is that the 14% who thinks Obama is Islamist hater of Israel are the neocon troll trying to paint this crowd as ignorant, personality cult, wingnuts. This is because every top forum have their fair share of trolls, so I will go with that because there is no way in the world and I mean no way 8 people who have listened to Ron Paul message would vote for that option. Especially when the other two options are Obama and Gaddafi

I chose Obama, simply because of the mindset in the U.S., which is more dangerous to our liberty than the rapidly changing mindset of the people in Libya.

Obama is in a position to do the kind of damage that Gadaffi has wet-dreams about, simply because there are too many people in the U.S. living under the false impression that they are 'free.'

As the quote goes:

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."
---Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

At least the people in Libya are rapidly awakening.

I should add that that if the choice were between 'Bush or Gadaffi,' it would be the same result. Gadaffi loses, because you can't oppress people who have nothing left to lose.

Other forum poster:

Odumbo is WORSE BY A MILE! Gadaffi is merely yet another dictatorial thug... the world is full of them.

Odumbo, on the other hand, is trying to destroy what has been the most free courntry economically and personally... all in the name of his greedy and distored view of Social Justice.

Personally, I believe him to be a closet Muslim Terrorist... working to destroy the US from within... likely to get away with it too... as too many Americans are overly consumed with "Dancing With The Stars" and "American Idol" to even notice how America is being rotted away right under our very noses...

Excellent post.

Who are you?
What kind of poll is this?
A person is bad because he is anti-Israel?
Hey, if you support Israel, that's great!
I applaud you bro.
However, do it with your own money not ours!
We get no benefit whatsoever from Israel but only giving money and military to them.
So please do it with your own money!
Thank you.

Excuse me, but didn't this white house argue that they had the right to bomb us citizens with drones? Obama is a tyrant. If you don't think he would take your guns and freedoms if given the chance you all are fools. Obama cares only for power. He steals our money and gives it to foreign dictators to prop them up and give them weapons to control thier people.

Gaddafi is no saint either, in my opinion they are both tyrants, period. They care nothing for liberty.

It depends where I am currently. If I was in Libya or the immediate vicinity thereof, I would say Gaddafi is worse since he poses a greater threat to my life and property. However, if I were anywhere else in the world, Obama would be worse since he poses a greater threat to my property and well-being

The nice thing is that if people hate the US they are free to live someplace else. They are also free to complain- there are some countries where you are not even allowed to do that. I still think this is probably the best place in the world to live.

By the way, the internet has been shut off in Libya so somebody could not even be posting if you lived there.

When you're to the point where you have to try and convince people that it's better to live in the US than Libya just stop. The people you're arguing with don't care about facts.

I think the OP was joking but your reply (along with the rest like it) are more indicative of RPF than Obama.

Obama is probably in the middle which is why pro-Israel people (Liebrman, Palin, Gary Bauer) call him anti-Israel and anti-Israel people (many on this forum) call him pro-Israel.
