TUESDAY UPDATE. SANTORUM AT TAXPAYERS RALLY. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is the first likely presidential candidate to confirm an appearance at "Taxpayer Tea Party Rally" on April 15 at the State House.
"He is the first to confirm," said Corey Lewandowski, state director of Americans for Prosperity, which is organizing the event along with Cornerstone Action, the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, the Upper Valley Tea Party, the Plymouth Area Tea Party Patriots and the New Hampshire Tea Party Coalition.
Sources say Santorum will also speak that day at the Seacoast Republican Women's Spring Luncheon at the Ashworth-By-The-Sea Hotel in Hampton Beach.
Prior to that visit, Santorum is scheduled to be in New Hampshire on March 11 for the Strafford County Republican Committee Lincoln-Reagan Dinner fund-raiser at the Three Chimneys Inn in Durham, on March 15 for a private breakfast with business leaders and a private lunch with pro-life advocates and on March 28 for the Grafton County Lincoln-Reagan Dinner fund-raiser at the Indian Head Resort in Lincoln.
Also, Tea Party leader and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann's schedule for March 12 has been set with a brunch fund-raiser for the NHGOP at Courtyard by Marriott in Nashua. She will then greet Granite Staters with a walk in Nashua.
We've already reported that Bachmann will appear at another fund-raiser for the state GOP at the Seacoast home of Ellen Christo on March 11.
