Hmm...not a bad idea! I would like to see him discuss economics and monetary policy first, however.

He's a self professed adherent of FA Hayek and chatted a lot with Mark Thornton while he was at Auburn U, so he's probably an Austrian economist if not at least very close to it. :)

I would like to see him block Congress indefinitely from editing the Constitution.

Not with a huge name like Jimmy Wales.

At the very least, he could block the addition of nude pictures.... ;)

Jimmy wales is a web expert and I don't see why he couldn't do it. He is the best man for the job that I know of.

Except for the fact that he doesn't know squat about libertarian philosophy or austrian economics.

Why do you say that?

Except for the fact that he doesn't know squat about libertarian philosophy or austrian economics.

He got a degree from Auburn University's econ department (arguably the most Austrian-oriented in the country), where he chatted economics with his buddy (and Mises Institute scholar) Mark Thornton, and built Wikipedia on a Hayek essay. I'd say he knows at least a little more than "squat" about Austrian economics. And considering his history of advocating for libertarian causes and his ability to accurately expound the non-aggression axiom as the basis for his political philosophy, I'd say he knows at least a little more than "squat" about libertarian philosophy.

:P

So you say Jimmy Wales admitted that he didn't know much about politics, and you took that to mean he doesn't know "squat" about libertarian philosophy or austrian economics? Why not do a little research before making a comment such as this? At best, it makes you look foolish for not knowing what you're talking about...at worst, it makes you look like a troll.

I heard today that Lemeuix (sp?) is wanting to get into the race.

He's the Bush Republican that was put in after Bush Republican Martinez retired.

Connie Mack is the frontrunner right now. He would be better than most. Wales would be amazing though.

I would like to see what kind of chances Wales has..
