As mentioned in another thread - the Alexa rankings for this site right now are quite low, since they use a 3-month average and the forum underwent software upgrades in December. Prior to that, we were ahead of Daily Paul by a considerable margin.

Wow!!

Beating out Cato Institute, Ayn Rand Institute and Free State Project, good deal!! :)

I'll bet we'll be even higher in a few months. I've noticed that a lot of people who originally signed up back in '07 are starting to return,
and more momentum will be building up as Dr. Paul prepares to announce.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but what is the second number? I’m guessing it’s the rank in terms of all websites on the net, and it’s just coincidence that RPF’s number is so close to its membership count.

The following

19 Ayn Rand Institute (ARI)
29 Capitalism Magazine
30 The Atlasphere

aren’t libertarian websites. The last two promote the first, ARI, which -- protests to the contrary -- is more or less a neoconservative organization. You can read about it at
ARI Watch (http://ARIwatch.com)
especially
Birds of a Feather (http://ariwatch.com/BirdsOfAFeather.htm)

Here's Leonard Peikoff, founder of ARI (Yaron Brook is the president):
“... I don’t know anything about Ron Paul, so I wrote Yaron Brook: ‘Could you tell me something that would be relevant to answer this question?’ I’ll read his answer, and that’s all I’m going to say about him:
“ ‘Unfortunately but not unpredictably I have only bad news regarding Ron Paul. He ran for president once or twice as a Libertarian before he switched to the Republican party. His foreign policy is typically libertarian. He blames 9-11 on America; if only we disengaged from the Middle East Bin Laden will leave us alone. On abortion he, like many libertarians, believes it should be left up to the states to decide, i.e. he advocates democracy, not individual rights.’

“And then he [Yaron] ends the letter: ‘I could go on, three dots.’ I find that very persuasive. I’m not ever going to say another thing about Ron Paul.”

Here’s the background:
2008 Presidential Elections – Ayn Rand and ARI (http://www.ARIwatch.com/PresidentialElections-3.htm)
