Rep. Van Taylor (http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/member-page/?district=66), Republican - District 66

Texas has become the next state to propose legislation that would permit college students to carry guns on campus, in defense of the Second Amendment.

HB 1167 (http://www.legis.state.tx.us/BillLookup/History.aspx?LegSess=82R&Bill=HB1167), introduced in the Texas House of Representatives on February 7, would require colleges and universities to allow students over the age of 21 to carry concealed handguns on campus.

Coming up next cycle - priorities were parking lot (employer can not prohibit gun remaining in car while at work, even if employer has no weapon policy), and campus carry. Open carry will be next (have it for long arms, not for handguns currently).
