I imagine the hypothetical situation for a Ron Paul win is that the GOP will be forced to back him, and then he'll pull in the anti-war Obama supporters.

However, what happens if Obama gets the VP? Where are we going to get the last 5-10% needed to put us over the hill?

If that happens it will be age old case of Socialist vs Conservative...and an anti-war conservative will always win. The good thing about RP is that he doesn't have any baggage that comes from being a "Republican", so he'll be able to get majority of moderates over to his side.

Keep hammering away on Hillary's flipflopping on the war. Over and over and over. That'll do it.

I think a Clinton/Obama ticket is much easier to defeat than an Obama/Clinton ticket, more independents will vote conservative if Clinton is the dem's nominee.

Ron is the only GOP candidate that can beat Clinton and Obama.

His anti war anti gov approach is what will bring liberals to our cause.

Oh, an Obama/* ticket would a real scary prospect. The thing is, even a lot of Ron Paul supporters like Obama, if not to the extent of Gravel/Kucinich.

I have actually thought about this and I think Hillary because she is a politician would try and attract the pro-war republicans that despise Ron Paul, she would do this by waffling on the war, saying she will pull out but "it will take time" or that she will re deploy them to pakistan, ala barak obama.

Plus she voted for the patriot and the war on iraq, and she has said a pull out will take time so that should do her in against paul, imo...

Both Clinton and Obama want to keep going on WITH WAR WITH IRAQ 2013 MAYBE LONGER, BOTH SUPPORTED THE PATRIOT ACT, BOTH WILL RAISE TAXES, BOTH WON'T RULE OUT STRIKES AGAINST IRAN, BOTH HAVE NO PLANS FOR SOCIAL SECURIYT, BOTH TAKE MONEY FROM LOBBYISTS.......

RON IS THE TRUE ANTI-WAR CANDIDATE

i cant understand this after edward obama is the worst democrat a lifetime politician will be another servant of the lobbyist but people buy into hiim because he is young, charming and yes because he is black, liek it or not that is "different" and attracts voters...

How are we going to defeat a Clinton/Obama ticket?

We win the primaries first.

If Ron gets the GOP nomination he is the next President of the US. No doubt.

He would wipe the floor with Hillary (or whoever) in the 1 on 1 debates.

LOL I can't believe everyone discussing how to defeat Clinton. Why don't we just start talking about how to re-elect him in 2012 and what fundraising we should do in 2011? I suggest a money bomb on 11/11/11!! Or in what city he'll build his presidential library? God help us.
