Mississippi Rates as the Most Conservative U.S. State

PRINCETON, NJ -- Mississippi is home to the largest percentage of conservatives among U.S. states, with a slim majority identifying their political views as conservative. Several other states, including Idaho, Alabama, Wyoming, and Utah approach 50% conservative identification. Vermont, Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia have the greatest percentages of self-identified liberals.

And we know, alot of folks who self-identify as conservative arent necessarily for small Govt. And liberals are only 'liberal' in certain areas. These left/right herds are filled with hypocrites. Liberty is the only way !

MONTGOMERY — Alabama health and law enforcement officials have added a new synthetic drug to the list of illegal controlled substances in Alabama.

Alabama Health Officer Don Williamson and Attorney General Luther Strange said Monday that a combination of chemicals known as "bath salts" is being marketed in Alabama. Strange and Williamson said the chemicals are dangerous and can cause hallucinations and other dangerous reactions.

I can tell the list is based on the modern-day, phony definition of "conservative", because my own home state, North Carolina, made the top-ten. Anyone who has ever lived in North Carolina knows that it's only conservative in the social meddling, nanny-state theocratic sense; fiscally, it's the closest thing to Massachusetts in the entire southern U.S.

It's surprising that Colorado is on the list of the most "liberal" states. They've historically been a red state that only recently turned blue.
