My video file is 35 Megs, the limit is 100 megs. So I'm ok, But I am wondering how many people will have a hard time seeing it. If they don;t have broadband, they won't be able to see it at all.

They'll be able to see it but it might load slowly. Who cares just upload it and take a look at it. If it doesn't work then take it down and convert to a lower resolution and/or framerate.

I don;t want to get a alot of hits and then have to take it back down. I'm thinking I should maybe just make one with a lower quality

I don't believe that would help much. When youtube changes the format to .flv (flash), I believe it sort of evens things out. In any event, the VAST majority of people that watch youtube have a fast enough connection to watch all youtube videos in real time as they load. Just make it look as good as you can.

If you want to test out how it will look/load first, have the video as set to "private" when you upload it, then after you see what it looks like and like what you see, change the setting to "public".

The video gets compressed when you upload it. 35 MB is fine.

Yeah I think the only real limitation is time (10 mins?)

SIZE DOES NOT MATTER when Streaming movies in flash. Only things that matter are bit rate and sound quality.

If you upload a 100mb and 3mb movie they will load the same when streaming in flv format. Of course one will take longer to load fully but they will stream the same.

Ok, thanks i just learned something new.

But yes the reason its 35 megs for a 10 minute clip is because it has a high bitrate. Thats what i'm worried about, but I will find out as soon as its done uploading

High bitrate is ok. I normally try to upload 5 minute clips around 90MB

hmm, I don't know. Its playing fine for everyone else.

Just hit Pause, wait like a minute, then hit play, see if that will make it play for you.
