Wow. Another purist libertarian who wants Rand to scare people off by saying that he wants to abolish programs that people have paid into their whole lives. And of course Rand shouldn't call Israel a "friend." He should just adopt your rhetoric so that people will call him an anti semite.

You're delusional. I never once said that I support SS. I would like to see it gone as well, but it's never going to happen. How hard is it to figure out that Rand actually has a chance to become President someday? He isn't going to blow that chance by advocating abolishing SS and Medicare and scaring seniors to death.

The Pauls have a very difficult path to tread. When the powers that be steal,it won't get mentioned (the whole system is based on theft of course).When the Pauls try a necessary fix,the MSM will report any moral contravention,no matter how minor compared to the Government's original crime.The status quo will use any trick or double standard to stay in power.Rand is playing the long game but it's fraught with danger still.What are the capital gains taxes and inheritance taxes over there?These people really deserve to be paid back in cash but maybe they could have a capital gains tax exemption up to the limit of their contribution or their progeny could have a reduction in inheritance tax.If they exceed a means test,they are productive and will likely make taxable gains and/or leave a legacy.Ron was going to pay for the dependent ones by bringing the troops home.I don't think Rand will do it and no bill would pass with any tangible militaristic cuts attached?
