That's right at the end of the year and during exams for some people, so I won't be surprised if that puts a damper on the college crowd attendance.

Anyways, as far as NC schools within a reasonable driving distance, what about Wake Forest, UNCG, Elon, Davidson, UNC Chapel Hill, and NC State? I think a few of them have YAL chapters but I don't know how big/active they are... it's definitely worth checking out.

Kudos for getting started on this. It's really important that Dr. Paul gets a lot of attention early on, and the debates are a great way of doing that.

Yea man, i've been super busy, so if you wanna look up those schools and get their YAL info, I will post it in main post! Any other groups you want to contact, feel free. I don't want this to be my pet project, I want a ton of people to come together and work on this thing.\

Also, regarding exams, at my school, exams aren't for another week or so. I am hoping that the other schools are the same way.

I will have RonPaulDebate.com up and going in the next few days to help with this.

But for now this is what needs to be done. I have done this and was very successful. Google St. Pete FL Ron Paul CNN Youtube Debate.

1. Pick the Venue where Ron Paul will speak afterwards.
NO BARS!!! Pick a place that can hold 500-1000 people.
Make it easy to get to from the Debate.
Many people will want to sign wave, so select locations BEFORE the event. (Drive the area at the time and day the event is.)
A place that has a TV is very good for people to watch the debate.

2. Find out if there is any straw polls or Republican events that people need to be at.

3. Draw up a map to give to people and give them a schedule. I will have all this on RonPaulDebate.com

4. RonPaulProducts.com TALK TO ME. This area needs signs, shirts, banners, etc. We had banners at all the Airports to welcome people to the debate. An idea:
"FOX: Welcome to the Ron Paul Debate" We also had banners on boats and airplanes.

5. Promotions!!!
Get Precinct Lists for the area and call all the 3rd party and as many Republicans as possible to invite them to the after event. Use Youtube, Facebook, etc.
This is one video I did (Our event was on the water):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woWsWOoBMYo

The New York Times had to acknowledge us because there was such a HUGE Ron Paul presence.

Let me know what I can do to help.

What about the Hyatt Regency of Greenville as a venue for Ron to speak afterwards? Link (http://www.greenville.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/events/index.jsp;jsessionid=80ED92EAD51ACE6146BCFAD17EFE5 03D.atg01-prd-atg3)

It's a two minute walk away from the Peace Center...May be too close, but it has a nice ballroom...I've been there before, it is fairly large.

Here is the link for the event on FB. I have been working on inviting a lot of people.

So is it typical to have a venue for Ron to speak at afterward? I have no idea what goes into this, I have just been trying, lol.

Rick Santorum's in for Fox News' 'First in the South' debate

By JUANA SUMMERS | 4/1/11 9:46 AM EDT Updated: 4/1/11 10:36 AM EDT

Rick Santorum said Friday he will participate in the first debate of the presidential campaign, organized by Fox News and the South Carolina Republican Party.

The "First in the South" presidential debate will be held in downtown Greenville, S.C. at the Peace Center for the Performing Arts.

"I look forward to participating in the debate process that will allow me to share my views on the issues of the day as well as my vision for the future of our country. And I hope others considering a run will also commit to this important debate in South Carolina," Santorum said in a statement.

Santorum is a former commentator for Fox News who left recently because he had taken steps toward a presidential run.

He is making his 13th visit to the state today, which includes a visit to Furman University. He will also speak at the Horry County Republican Party convention in Conway on Saturday.

What we did was book every place we could. That way no other campaign could get it until the last minute.

Yes, he normally will do a fundraiser during the day and then after the debate he will go to a venue.

The Official Campaign will do nothing on this. It is all up to us.

This kind of event's budget should be around $10,000.

You will need 1,000 signs, 30 banners, maybe several very large banners (depends on venue), precinct lists, and much more.

It should take about 3-4 people to organize. We had 2 trolleys and 2 airplanes. We also had four locations, so we had a lot more work than normal.

The precinct lists is really important. We had people come that didn't even know Ron Paul was going to be in our area. So imagine a person who gets a telephone call to come to this event:

can we reschedule the May 2 moneybomb to be May 5th?...

Make the moneybomb May 4 so it gets people's attention RIGHT before the debate so they know who to listen to.

Also, I'm angry this is on May 5. Georgia high school student here, right in the middle of my exams.

Howdy.

I teamed up with Josh Cobin and Ernest Hancock to put up about 200 to 300 Ron Paul R[evol]ution banners for the Ron Paul Spartanburg GOP dinner and Greenville rally in '08. I also worked with Brian Gentry at party HQ on the GOTV effort. I'm the Spartanburg County Coordinator in C4L.

I'm willing to take lead on this since nobody else has stepped up. I'll get back with you after this weekend -- as Spartanburg County is holding its GOP convention this weekend and I'm busy rounding up lists of C4L and Tea Party delegates to push at the convention.

First: Ron Paul is invited. As of yet, Gary Johnson is not, I've notified his campaign of what he needs to do to change that.

So the debate is May 5th at the Greenville Peace Center. It will be broadcast by FOX.

Now, if you want tickets, YOU NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING RIGHT NOW. I MEAN RIGHT ... NOW. The Peace Center is small and 2 of 3 decks are already sold out between FOX, the SCGOP itself, candidates, and others.

Call 1-803-988-8440 and ask for Lindsey.... because of some complicated legalities I won't get into, you have to pay $100 to the GOP, for which you receive one ticket and a Karl Rove book. Because of Arizona, this will take some time to do. SLED and other state law enforcement is doing extensive background checks on all in attendance. So don't expect your ticket instantly. You have to be vetted.

There might be literally 100 seats left, if that, right now. So please, if you want inside, GET YOUR TICKET NOW. RIGHT NOW. IMMEDIATELY.

Please forward this to all Ron Paul R[evol]utionaries and C4L members you know RIGHT NOW.

My email says two tickets for $100. If everyone gets TWO then we can start a thread about who needs a ticket and a ride and stuff.

Thank you for expressing interest in attending the South Carolina Republican Party's First in the South Presidential Debate on May 5th at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina. Tickets to the debate are reserved for SCGOP donors. Have you made a donation this year?

If you have not, you may now make a $100 donation, which will allot you two tickets to the debate, and a signed copy of Karl Rove's Courage and Consequence.
