The surprise victory of Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts was thought of at the time as one of the Tea Party’s first big victories. But as he prepares for a tough reelection fight in one of the country’s bluest states, Brown tells USA Today that he is not a Tea Partier.

“No, I am a Republican from Massachusetts,” Brown told the paper when asked if he was a member of the Tea Party. He also referred to himself as a “Scott Brown Republican” concerned primarily with fiscal issues.

I'm from MA, and no he's definitely not a tea partier, even during the campaign he denied it. Even though the tea party abandoned Joe Kennedy and supported Brown instead.

Scott Brown is a moderate neo-con. Nothing else.

But take it from me, this is the best we in Mass could do, liberty is a lost cause here I'm afraid.

So sad since back in the day, Mass. was home to the best pro-liberty statesmen the young republic knew

was there any confusion on this point?

A 'Scott Brown' Republican?

That would be like a 'Lindsay Graham' Republican. Not sure I'd want the label....

Is Mass senator Scott Brown not a tea partier?

Can switching to Geico save you 15% or more on car insurance?
