Can't hurt. I'm pretty sure it's even technically legal as long as the bill is still usable. A stamp would be even easier/more efficient (you can order personalized ones online).

In a closed system like an oversease military base, though, this can make the rounds. I wrote on a lot of one dollar bills, in the bottom margin, things like "campaignforliberty.com"

I've written "end the fed" on a fair number of bills. Never wrote Ron Paul's name on them though.

I wonder if this would have more of a positive or negative impact? I would hope positive. I like the idea, and I might do it myself.

There is a "Where's George" project that is quite popular because you can go to a web site and track where your dollars have traveled. We should do that. Like where's Ron?

I have noted a resistance from one shopkeeper to accept bills with writing on them.

Think a great slogan that would get through to your average joe would be: "At what point is this worth less than TP?"

Also, I think it's important to use messages that most Americans will be turned on by. Phrases like End the Fed is very important, however most Americans are not informed enough to realize what the Fed is or even what it does.

I would stay away from using words like "truth" - unfortunately, in conjunction with "Ron Paul" people may link Ron Paul with the Truther movement; that my turn off more people than not.

I do like "End the Wars" (or maybe "REALLY end the wars"), "Save your country", "Bring the troops home" and "Audit the Fed". The popularity of the wars are going lower and lower while support for auditing the Fed only increases.

At the end of the day, I really do think we want to not reinforcement the stereotypes that are presented by most of the media. If the only exposure people have to Ron Paul's name are "graffitti" on dollar bills and what they see on television news reports, we need to be careful of the message. If it's too "kooky" or out there, you will turn them off forever. I think writing on dollar bills is on the edge anyway, honestly.

I like the 'find the truth' idea, or 'end the'. Basic, short, non-polarizing message. People who work as cashiers our count down money for retail stores or are servers should do this religiously. Very little time (even without a stamp) and costs nothing to get an advertisement on something that's virtually guaranteed to be seen by many people.

another idea is to use a message that leads people to ron paul without them knowing it. not sure this tactic is best for the dollar bill idea, but I'll put it here.

'end the... (federal reserve)' is pretty good about that, other ideas are 'restore sound money' (not so good, most won't know what that means), 'end corporatism' (might not find ron), 'stop policing the world' (better i think, but no instructions), 'end the wars - google blowback' (best of these IMO, but I'm sure there's better ideas)
