"It is a complex exercise to nail down the precise motivation behind the Budget Repair Bill. Yes, Governor Walker has an interest in eliminating the budget deficit. And yes he has a solid history of fiscally conservative budgets going back to his days as Milwaukee County Executive. But the bottom line is that Governor Walker is carrying out the agenda of the Republican National Committee..."

I'm thinking that Walker is not one of us as much as we would like him to be, he is way to caught up in the GOP mainline game.

1) Koch Brothers get their puppet Governor Walker in power
2) Governor Walker gins up a crisis
3) Democrats and Progressives take the bait and counter-protest on collective bargaining
4) Governor Walker will compromise on collective bargaining if the rest of the budget is passed as is
5) Bill passes, with trojan horse give-a-way to the Koch Brothers nested in
6) Koch Brothers will buy Wisconsin power plants for pennies on the dollar in closed unsolicitated bids for which there will be no oversight
7) Koch Brothers get the best vertical monopoly in a generation

Wisconsin has a major problem on its hands. I support Scott Walker.

Next Wisconsin governor faces big deficit (http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/102748564.html)

Madison — The state faces a looming $2.7 billion budget shortfall, but that hasn't kept candidates for governor from piling on with what are likely to be hundreds of millions of dollars in new commitments to cut taxes or increase spending.

All the major candidates have put forward plans to rein in spending, but by making added pledges like tax cuts, the candidates are adding to the challenge they'll face as the state's top executive.

The most aggressive are the two Republican candidates, former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker who, without specific figures, are promising hefty tax cuts in their first budget as governor and some possible increases in spending on roads and bridges.

I like the Koch Brothers. It sucks they've had such a fallout with the Mises folks, but Cato has been putting out great stuff lately.

I like the Koch family politics for the most part.

One of the founding members of the John Birch Society is Fred Koch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Koch#Political_views), founder of Koch Industries.

His sons, however, went into other areas like Cato and Americans for Prosperity.

I support Walker on his support of this individual bill, and I share in his desire to eliminate deficit spending, but he is mainline conservative and a tool of the RNC. Given the chance he will support maintaining the military, prison and police industrial complexes. He's not a big civil liberties guy is what I'm trying to say. He didn't go all the way across the board and cut police, fire department, state patrol or even government inspectors who make good taxpayer money as well.

I just support Gov. Walker on the Wisconsin Bill. I don't know where he stands on other things.

Supporting Walker on this issue is giving him political capital to spend down the road on the civil liberties issues. Just be careful.

It's nothing more than Republicans trying to hurt Democrats where it counts and this is their money base.

However the fact that they are doing it by attacking the unions and their power hold is not bad for us. So its a win in my book.

As much as I am in favor of state budget cuts, and privatizing government entities, I am fearful of no bid crony contracts by corporatist.

BTW total cost of war since 2001 for the state of Wisconsin is $18.437 Billion, too bad they aren't protesting the cost of war on every citizen in Wisconsin.

Here's what progressive Cenk has to say.
