$50, because the $400 in silver I bought 2 weeks ago kept me from giving $201.20 like I would have preferred to do... :p

$80.48; $20.12 each for myself, my wife and our two daughters. I have 3 sons, too so if a little investigation into the bank account tomorrow reveals I can send another $60.36, it will be on its way.

Well it's 10am Eastern and we are already at 352,000 so I'm hoping we blow way past that :). Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect so I'm really glad we have made it this far. I already gave 20.12 but I might just throw in another 20.12 if it gets past 400,000 "crosses fingers".

midnight EST but people aren't careful at either end, usually.

I could only donate 5.00$

CPAC exhausted a lot of my extra money, plus I'm involved with moving currently, which is going to cost even more.

Can't donate. The online form WILL NOT recognize my home address as being a valid U.S. address. Will try other avenues to donate my 120.12 donation....oh well...effin BS...i'll try paypal, but i'm not too fond of that idea.

$75,500 on the day, going by the ticker. Not too shabby for a PAC donation, but I don't know if it'll be enough to convince Ron 100% that he should run...

I hope so.
I think seeing that he's raised $400,000 before even announcing is a pretty big indicator for him though.

how much has Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin raised so far?

Lovecraftian4Paul
02-21-2011, 12:47 PM
This isn't bad so far. Would be nice to top out at 250K total or even hit the 600K mark on the ticker.

Does anyone remember how large the earliest bombs were? Like, those fill up the meter ones in 2007 before the huge moneybombs on Nov. 5 and Dec. 16? Those early 2007 events would be a good basis of comparison for this...

I think paul has 8-12x more support than he did this time in '07.

Anyone notice he is pushing the donating thing a little bit much?

I think pushing the donate thing is (to my way of thinking) an indication that he will run to actually win this time instead of to merely educate. Obama has stated (somewhere) that he wants to spend $1Bn on his campaign this go-round, and so it will take a historic effort in fundraising to compete. The fact that RP has come out so strong on fundraising this early is, to me, and indication that he has his eye on the right data to plan an actual run to win the Oval Office.

What if 11 states kick him off the ballot for failing to provide an original long-form birth certificate? Will he still spend $1Bn?

I think this is a good start! Remember, the initial money bomb for Peter Schiff's PAC only brought in 20k, and he went to on to have a few very successful money bombs. I threw in 25 just because I'm going to Peru in a few weeks, but if RP announces, I intend to send much, much, much more and activate my whole campus as well. BRING IT ON RP!

I hope to see the ticker rise substantially tonight when everyone gets home from work. If everyone who has liked him on facebook(309,000 so far) would give just the 20.12 that I gave, that would be a cool 6 million right there!

$20.12 now, much more when he announces. I see this as being much more about the number of people who donate, saying "I'm here, I care, I'm going to work hard to help this succeed" than about establishing a real fund for a candidate.
