The stock market will tank, they are frontspending for the DOW, the military industrial complex and oil will crater, the dollar strengthen, consumer goods exports fall etc. Bush does not want to be held accountable for that, so its the next presidents responsibility to eat it.

Getting stupid? Shit we're already at a half-trillion..

I've been asking myself, even if this war *were* morally acceptable, the amount of money we're spending for relatively little to no payoff is astounding.

It'd be like installing Lo-Jack on my $60 bicylcle from Walmart.. just complete overkill..
