Sounds unconstitutional to stop every motorist on public property and "papers please" just to find out if someone is driving on suspension.

it's not the first time I've heard of this happening but it'll become more common with the need to raise revenue for the police state.

Yeap... so this will expand as soon as they get license plate scanning(cameras) at all intersections and roadways... whether suspension of license, no insurance, unpaid registration, unpaid tickets, warrants, whatever etc etc... It's coming, just you wait and see.

And all of that license plate scanning and check point driver's license scanning amounts to is: We're all assumed to be criminals, the presumption of innocence is gone! THAT is Unconstitutional. It used to be probable cause was needed first, and then a warrant issued if one is demanded by the individual. That implies a presumption of innocence. Checkpoints and scanning everyone means a presumption of guilt, whether they realize it or not. There's a reason we didn't like when the nazis did checkpoints and papers checking. Let us not forget why! A presumption of guilt is Unamerican and Unconstitutional, and it makes criminals of us all.

We should create checkpoints at police stations to test officers on constitutional rights.

All failing officers should be put on un-paid leave until they can past the test.
