It wasn't the Internet that destroyed Mr. Mubarak—it was Mr. Mubarak's ignorance of the Internet that destroyed Mr. Mubarak.

This is what I'm thinking. I don't think they'll actually ever shut down the internet in the U.S. Instead they'll carefully monitor and try to manage potential uprisings.
