Gotta hand it to Colbert. The dude is always damn funny even when he's making fun of us.

The Pearl Harbor one is actually hardcore making fun of the establishment as being the unthinking mob vs. Dr. Paul's frantic voice of reason.

I think deep, deep, deep down Colbert likes Ron Paul.

I also laughed out a few days ago, when he referred to Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and "Rex Paul, the libertarian labrador." :)

Even though Colbert seems to make fun of Dr. Paul (he has to to maintain his liberal credibility), I feel they will be forced to support him as he gains more and more popularity and as it becomes obvious that he is correct on all the issues. But wow, will it ever be insane to see what happens if it becomes Paul vs. Obama in 2012! These bums on the idiot box won't know what to project to the masses.

True. I think that gradually, more and more liberals will come to realize that there's a cancer underlying the political system, and that voting for incremental change won't solve a thing. I have no doubt that Ron Paul would get numerous "surprise endorsements" from Hollywood and the media.

The amusing part of the way Colbert does that is he makes absurd arguments (faux conservative style) that actually bolster RP's points. Browsing through the vids in this thread, I noticed Colbert had a debate between Ron and a monetarist economist. Quite funny! Ron obviously won, but Colbert's absurd style made the pwnage even better. :)

I wonder if the Colbert Report is a good place to announce his candidacy.

Bump. He deserves some traffic from us for being so kind to Ron, especially about the CPAC win!

If y'all remember back during the primary season, the hollywood writer's strike hit when it was getting going good. I don't think it was an accident. Most of the late night comedy shows went off the air, no making fun of all the idiot candidates.

C: "...its a surprise having you here."
SS: "Imagine my surprise" (nervous laughter)"
C: "Really? You didnt know where the limo was taking you didnt you?"
SS: "Nahhhh (nervous laughter)..."

:D

Keep worshiping this entertainment people and keep watching that TV...when the hammer comes down you will not find it funny.

You know why George "Time Warner-HBO" Carlin became sounding like a bitter old retarded moron? Because he realised that he was a schmuck working for the same powers he claimed to be against, that his beloved 1960īs "counter-culture" was a big pile of crap after all, that Lenny Bruce (his mentor) wasnt his friend after all and that even the famous "FCC vs Carlin" episode was Hegelian-dialectic bullshit designed to upgrade him...and that his audition/initiation-ceremony was caught on camera after all :D

Keep being entertained...if the hammer comes down you will not find it funny.

I think deep, deep, deep down Colbert likes Ron Paul.

he occasionally appears appeasing because of You.. because of the demographic his type of show appeals to, he cannot afford making enemies with the ron paul audience.
