The Senate on Tuesday night easily passed a three-month extension of expiring portions of the Patriot Act, an effort to buy lawmakers more time to figure out what the counter-terrorism surveillance law will look like in the long term.
The bill was approved 86 to 12, with 10 members of the Democratic caucus and two freshman Republicans — Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Mike Lee of Utah — voting no over privacy concerns.
This guy is starting to look more and more like the real deal.
