Besides being pro-choice what issues are Goldwater and Paul different on? Is there a list of things they are very similar on?

I'm asking because I see a lot of conservatives touting Reagan and his speech in 85' at CPAC. Well, at the start of the speech he does nothing but praise Goldwater as the champion Conservative.

If Ron Paul and Goldwater are so similar, and Reagan praised Goldwater so much back in his day, then WHY aren't we plastering this all over the internet and to all conservatives? I'd say 95% of the "neocons" today would say they love Reagan. If we can draw the comparison between Ron Paul and Goldwater while showing the Reagan praise for Goldwater...we can win people over.

Good plan, and yes, the more we can tie Paul to Reagan, the better. We also need to consistently mention that Paul endorsed Reagan for President in 1976 (before it was cool - 1 of 4 Congressmen to endorse Reagan in '76).

We also need to use this quote at every opportunity: “Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country!” -Ronald Reagan

Goldwater didn't question the existence of the income tax :-(

"The income tax created more criminals than any other single act of government"
-Barry Goldwater (I can't find the original source for this quote)

Goldwater had the reputation of being pro war unlike Paul - decide for yourself:

Reagan wasn't really the warhawk people made him out to be:

Barry Goldwater let me drive his car once.

Ron Paul only signed a book for me.

That's a difference...
